Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Right company, wrong part. It works great, but there's at least one dual-cable brake lever out there that duplicates the effect for much less $$$.

This is the one for two levers into one brake...:

First SS of the new year, it was a fixed conversion but this wheelset is more commuter friendly. Other commuter modifications were made as well.

Are those slicks? My monitor is too small. What brand and size are they?

Thanks!

Not slick, but more of a straight tread pattern (definitely not knobby) 700x37 Innova commuter tires, thick and heavy but no puncture flats to date (been using this same set for over a year)

Thank you. I am running some Schwalbe Kojaks that are labeled 700x35 but they barely measue 32mm. They seem to be a good tire, but I'm on the lookout for a true 35-37mm full slick. The search continues. ;-)

Nice pomp.

Here's my towel rack. Previous owner broke off the derailleur hanger so I developed this weaponized colour scheme as revenge. Shame, 'cuz it's a pretty nice 501 frame.

Never posted it but built this after my Langster was stolen 4 months ago. Still to go: a good front wheel, a better saddle, and probably a shorter stem

No, because I never ride it on the street

But it's been a hit at the track.
