Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

You guys should see the 7Elevens here in Hawaii, they sell local, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Filipino style snacks. Half of them have SPAM in it. Also they have POG.

Is coffee in a can supposed to be a good thing?

My first fixed gear! Put it together myself, so currently both getting used to the bike as well as triple-checking if nothing comes off...) Will probably replace parts as I get more used to it and figure out what I like. so far I've only swapped the standard grips for Fizik bar tape (first tape-job, there's, uhm, room for improvement ) Next up are some brown toestraps to replace the black ones. After that, will probably look into getting a better saddle Coming from an Electra Rally Sport (which only "sporty" characteristics are the name and the go-faster-stripes) it's quite a leap, but enjoying it so far!

Thanks! The tape went better than expected to be honest (i.e.: it's on the handlebars ) but I have learned a few things for next time (mostly around the start and finish of the wrap).

I've considered gumwalls, but I'll wait till these are (at least a bit) worn out. Also not sure if I'd prefer gumwalls, full brown tires or maybe some thickslicks, maybe even white ones... The saddle seems quite harsh on my bottom, but as my other bike is a soft, bouncy, laidback cruiser, it might just be me needing to get used to it

I hate to be That Guy but I personally would not mind seeing a white or maybe blue saddle and matching bar tape. I'm a fan of the bike

The color you're looking for is celeste green, not seafoam. Try again when you're sober.

Bianchi calls it "Celeste" (celeste blue, even), according to Fuji, it's "Mint", I think at least Leader call it "Seafoam Green". I dunno, I just think it's a pretty color

Also, added brown straps (yes yes, non-drive side pic... also, next time I'll try and find a less depressing background!)
