Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

To be fair, I dislike them too. At the end of the day, though, it is a commuter, so some concessions have to be made. If it was exclusively for long distance riding or the velodrome, I would do a couple of things differently.

So what the hell should I say? This isn't the "Tell me what you like about my bike thread". Why would you post your bike here unless you wanted to hear peoples thoughts?

Step stepping on my spoon.

People post their bikes in this thread so that other people can see them. I like looking at people's bikes and I want people to be able to post to this thread without feeling like they are going to get judged because otherwise I might not get to see a cool bike. So cut it out.

"Post your [bike] thread" not "post your opinion on bike style"

You can start a thread where you elaborate on your ideal bike, but then you only really need to post it once I guess.

This one's for showing and looking. If one strikes you as irresistibly nice and you absolutely have to post a compliment, do it. If one has a component that you gotta know more about, ask about it. If you just got your bike fitting you nicely and feel that it's in its state of rolling perfection, post it here. If you have it put together yet you're not certain that its aesthetic are correct and you want our help, post it in the "what don't you like about my bike" thread. If you're bored and have energy to burn, go ride your bike.

Looks fine to me, but... you should roll your bars forward a few degrees until the bottom parts of the drops are parallel to the ground. Your wrists will thank you. (you back might, too)

i stay on the angled portion of the drop. I messed around with positioning and this seams to be the most comfortable. Even though it looks weird.
