Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I do wish my frame was this blacked out though, still has some gold accent paint that I really am not too fond of.

this is my "jogging" bike. I live in Oakland, the Lake Merrit area. it's perfect for spinning laps around the 3 mile lake. I have to keep my legs spinning at least 95 rpm to maintain 18 MPH.

Jamis Sputnik- Dur ace High Flange hubs laced to Mavic open pro CDs, Dura ace track crank, Izumi super toughness chain and a wonderfully noisy white industries freewheel.

from 53cm (Bridgestone) to this one (57cm), it just reminds me of my old Raleigh TI. It fits me well

It could just be the old pads but there aren't replacements. Maybe I can carve up some KoolStops to fit.

Dat unicrown. At least you're confirming my curiosity about Hollowtech cranks for fixed gear.
