I've been commuting fixed on my time atac alium pedals for almost 4 months now. Like em a lot, never had trouble with unwanted unclips or anything else. i've paired em with some chrome midway pro's which as stated by others, is nice for hopping off of the bike and walking around/blending in with the general public.

Shimano PD-7401 Dura Ace pedals. Awesome retention when screwed down to the max. Picked up a couple pair at Recycled Cycles for $15/pr.

Exustar Carbon/Ti (Keo compatible) and ancient Gaerne shoes I inherited from my dad.

Im using Ultegra PD6800 Carbon Pedals. For shoes I'm using some hand me down Shimano spd-SL R075. I have no complaints. Saving up for a new pair of shoes.

Been riding this set-up for >22 years, nothing unusual since '92 or '72 or '42 or '22.......

Riding FG on the road has been part of the normal training for club cyclists for well over a century.
Is using reliable and easy >20 year old foot retention technology somehow a recent revelation or controversial?
