I know that a lot of you are saying to yourselves, "How can I make my bike look more like a piece of indoor exercise equipment?" Well, here is the answer:
I know what you are all thinking: those shifters are enough to make you convert back to 18 ratios of pure bliss.

Agreed. For touring and long distance riding they offer a ton of hand positions and places to mount stuff. Me I like a good drop bar for touring but maybe if I was doing a ton of off road touring I would probably go with a butterfly/trekking bar.

Reminds me of drop-in bars. I still kinda want em, though I can't imagine how taping the entire things would work.

It seems like this thread has really wandered away from true jackassery. Anything that has a practical purpose is simply not jackass.

Well, I didn't want to put it in the pron thread but maybe it would have been more appropriate on second thought.

This is one of the worst Bianchi Pistas I have ever seen (though not the worst). Shame, too, since some of the parts are decent, if not downright respectable. Truly goes to show that the whole is quite often less (sometimes way less) than the sum of its parts.

It's like that Bianchi got halfway sucked into the Jackass blackhole but was able to be yanked out at the last second. Except for the reflector and seat hangy thing, the rear triangle/cranks/rear wheel are okay...the front half is an abomination.
