Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It's Bosozoku style. Has kind of an interesting history in Japan. Lot of it is tongue-in-cheek being over the top but some of the stuff is very creative.

The style is also associated with bike gangs. When I was in Japan they would often drive by crowded shopping areas just pegging the rev limiters/trying to be loud as possible. The exhausts are just as ridiculous as the cars but it's kind of hilarious.

A lot of the car modifications are based on the old Japanese Super Silhouette race series.

Like this Skyline....

Dude, that is exactly what came to mind when I saw that seat. I got the chills.

If anyone doesn't know trypophobia is, do some google image searches. Just thinking about it makes my hands sweat/skin crawl.

trypophpbia isnt actually a diagnosed phobia, just a repulsion

i find those shapes fascinating and hypnotizing

also bosozoku bike gangs are hysterical, its like "how can i take being a dick from 10 and turning it to 11?"

This is my last car post in the thread.

The reason they do the exposed oil cooler lines (or fake ones) is because the old Hakosuka GTR's and many of the later race cars utilized them. Not sure how I would like one on the street with debris/rocks.

Even if you hate Japanese cars, the Hakosuka GTR is pure porn.

The 2000 GTR had a 2.0 DOHC straight six with triple Weber sidedrafts.

One of the best sounding 6 cylinders ever made.
After 1:24 = eargasm
