Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? A level is just that...to level a flat surface. Seats that have a higher rear section will totally mess with any type of leveling tool since your butt isn't sitting on the back edge. You'll just end up with the front angling upwards at a goofy angle. I've seen Flites at this angle and it's usually followed with a bunch of "dude, lower that nose down, that's not a BMX seat."

I am 1990 Flite loyalist and am also one of those guys whose saddle looks like the nose points up. The way I have mine positioned keeps my ass in the "cradle" and my weight off my wrists/arms.

I never checked it with a level before but these comments got me curious so I did and what I found is that from nose to tail it is exactly level...

Is that Jackass?

I have never had those problems leveling any of my saddles with a level. Maybe it is a Flite issue? Pound Sign: Fliteissues?

Full JA even without Powergrips. I wouldn't want to steal that thing even with the cable lock! The hardwood floor is decent though.

Geniass. I want to know what his "dream" frame is that only costs $1000. That's a pretty cheap dream. He just might be able to get it.

Upon closer inspection I can kinda sorta see the celeste.

I was thinking "Whitewalls on a '57 Chevy? yes. Whitewalls on a CF sports car? Lame."

I like the AC364, I kinda want one, too. But, not for racing of any kind. He may be disappointed when he figures out what the REST of the parts cost, too.

(~$2500 +shipping is what I got in my spreadsheet, but that includes an indulgence for some Mack hubs and a few other shiny bits. Haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger and actually spend the money yet, though)

cat3 crits are basically just as sketchy

they say you need to race P/1/2 or masters before it is continually fast and smooth, but then again, grass is always greener...

Probably planning on swapping over parts from his sw8 Retrospec fixay whip... But yeah, gofundme's mobile site sucks.

Give this guy a break. It's January in Canada and I'm going crazy indoors. I mean, who doesn't love cycling weather?

I wasn't commenting on his writing. I didn't read it because GoFundMe only shows me about 20 words at a time, which makes it entirely too tedious to read anything on their crappy site.
