Ex-champion pawning his stuff?
Ummm is there a category for JA ebay seller?
Sorry if I have pinched a nerve with some of you guys and gals but this guy (not the bike) is a complete JA. Can't spell and can't remember the frame size of his bike but won 4 State championships (huh????). So someone here must know him or is he a real JA to BS just to sell a bike he rode 30,000 miles on while apparently having no idea about. If this guy is real and you know him please slap him!!
I love the reason for sale, a broken ankle (???) Also "item specifics" 27 gears, kick stand and pump, model = Volpe (the Bianchi Volpe was the top of the range back then possibly) fully dressed in record.

This could be a good idea but the geometry is jackass.
The pedals are too far back and the guy's genitals can't be happy. The way he is pedaling looks comical at times.

The price wasn't too bad, but I couldn't imagine riding it anywhere that wasn't flat. Seeing as there's no gears and it's basically a two wheeled unicycle, I just couldn't buy it. I will say though, that it was an interesting ride and kind of fun, but really doesn't have the functionality that the most bargain basement department store bike has.
Kind of a silly idea, but in some way I'm glad it's out there. If someone wanted to give me one, I wouldn't say no!

Seems like the cockpit setup is where we most often find really jackassey stuff.
Here's one of the worst I've encountered (saw it on a train a few days ago):

30mm of spacers, one of those stupid steering column extenders, 3 or 4 more spacers, and then a super short stem, installed backwards. But the grip still wasn't high enough, so he cranked the bar way up to a ridiculous angle. I wanted to ask him how well his front brake works.
It's a shame, because that's a pretty nice Kestrel frame, and everything else on it is reasonably tidy.
