Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

From the ad:
This frame is a 1940's Carlton, made in Nottingham, UK with Reynolds steel and handcut nervex lugs and drops. I've fitted it with a ritchey logic headset and carbon fork, an extra long/extendable nitto stem, profile design bar, carbon seat post and a selle Italia max flite vanadium saddle. It has spinergys legendary, bombproof, full carbon rev-x rear wheel and a 16 spoke shimano aero front wheel, each with puncture resistant continental tires. It has polished tektro brakes and levers and a truvativ carbon crankset with a polished spider (comes with all three chainrings and spd pedals). If you are interested in buying this bike without the wheels, saddle, and cranks, I will sell for $1100.00

Wish my frame had two sets of dropouts, that way I could set my wheel from awesome to awesome-er like him.

Someone facebooked one of "competitive spin dancing"

it was basically a tiny asian man with a bowl cut somehow incorporating dance moves into a spin class with house music

in front of a cheering crowd.
