Today I am treating myself and Angie to a fancy dinner in celebration of signing the lease for Retrogression's new location in San Diego.
I look forward to an unannounced visit once you guys are all nice and cozy in north park. It will most certainly be wheel related considering I've held back a "want not need" order because of shipping. |
Whoa, you guys moving over here or will you have someone else run the SoCal store?

Moving. Goodbye snow.

Today I ...
Drove the MGB to work because it was pithing down and I was knackered from riding to work in heavy, cold rain the rest of the week. Worked like a Trojan all flamin' day and was mentally knackered by lunchtime, let alone knock off. Bought a pizza for dinner and a bottle of rum for afters :) Decided to annoy you lot on the forum. Tomorrow, I've got 70 - 100 kms of riding ... with the dog in his trailer hooked on behind ... unless I sleep in or am hung over or both or it's raining or there's a vowel in the month. |

Just some fat-trimming going on across the board. 3 others got chopped the same day.
Oh well, new beginnings and all that. In related news, if you're looking for a replacement bike, wanna buy the Trek? (51cmST/54.5cmTT) oh snap. this makes the gwilo with azn legs happy. gonna go to lbs in a few to see what happens, but i just might have to |
This morning my dog went head to head with (with what we think was) a sonoran mountain frog/toad, who's skin is psychoactive. We washed his mouth out for about 10 minutes but he still seemed to trip for about 20-25. He's fine now, so it's ok if I laugh and say that I found it kind of amusing.
Ya know what a dog does when you put those little booties on them for the first time, it was that, x100. |
Today in trying out this new Minuum keyboard on my s4 and although it is pretty nice in concept, it's a pain in the ass to type bicycling words with. :/
|
Today brought another ride on the cruiser.
|
Weather was perfect for the commute today, got "lost" on my way home taking my weekly mirage up to 140, I do not really want to but I think I need a new stem for the kilo, I just feel a tad too stretched out.

Met a sqrl at the co-op. She had just started and shadowed me for most of the shift. It's strange how 21 seems so young while I'm only not much older.

Today my friend Joey who plays drums in the band Eyehategod passed away.

I stayed late at work today to clean out/fix mostly everything my new truck, Homeless guy broke into it and smashed up the ignition and left a whole chicken in it around 4 months ago, it was probably the worst smell I've ever smelled in my life. All clean now and tomorrow I'll drive it home.
It took far longer than I expected and didn't get out of work till dark time and I left my lights on the Kilo. Scary times happened. |

today i rode with some dudes from the it dept we work for at the college
me, another commuter (who does annual tours like tour divide etc) and a guy who used to race with a team (kissena) that hasnt ridden at all this year 2 of us took our track bikes and the former racer took out his new caad10 and i was surprised at how much faster we were on track bikes was beautiful out and really it wasnt that hard of a day, took them to the state line lookout which neither have seen before and just bsed for a while, hammered home riding with bros is great tho, you go so much faster without even realizing it. i could get used to this |
