really frustrated with my "training" and with the dudes i ride with lately. taking a big step back. going back to riding just for fun. just got a lemond buenos aires for my relaxation device of choice. also been itching to ride fixed again.

hockeyteeth 06-23-13 05:20 PM

Haha, Xian giving you a hard time? Get a mtb and ride with us.

TMonk 06-23-13 05:24 PM

whats wrong with your "training?"

if you're trying to "train" with other people, then there's most of your problem. of course you need to take a step back from time to time and make sure that you're enjoying yourself as well.

oh, and I'm really, really tired right now.

Dannihilator 06-23-13 07:13 PM

Today I put in 50 miles and did yardwork, followed by a short 5 mile ride.

FakeFuji 06-23-13 08:20 PM

Today I rode a very humid 20 miles, now I am drinking a beer before I go to sleep

TheRealFaux 06-23-13 08:48 PM

Yesterday was probably the hottest weather I'd ridden in all year. Today it rained. Thank you San Francisco summer.

Leukybear 06-23-13 09:10 PM

Today I stumbled on a estate sale a couple blocks away from me. Person who's stuff was being sold was a avid photographer. Scored a bunch of camera gear for dirt cheap from unknowing next to kin.
Also tried to snipe a less than perfect* highly sought after legacy portrait lens off ebay and saw said auction rocket from $60 to $210+ in the matter of 7 seconds. Whoever won it ended up paying historically more than ideal/perfect specimens sold in the past/ currently available BINs.

c0urt 06-23-13 09:16 PM

realized velomine charges more for their open pros on ebay than they do in their web store.

Mumonkan 06-23-13 09:30 PM

today i realized that merckx corsa frames have italian threaded bb, so much for that idea

stilltooslow 06-23-13 09:52 PM

Rode my fixie for the first time in three weeks, as I've been on a road bike kick lately. Rode a 34 mi. circuit with lots of rollers and a couple of steep descents, but didn't have to resort to using the brake once.

The fronts of my quads will be sore tomorrow.

Missed out on CicLAvia for a day of J/A tourists. Did you go, Seau?

seau grateau 06-23-13 10:44 PM

Didn't even know about it. How often do they do those things? I feel like the last one was pretty recent.

TejanoTrackie 06-23-13 10:53 PM

Today I rode my SS Salsa Casseroll grocery getter to the local Kroger to get some supplies, and a nice lady came up to me as I was loading the saddlebags in the parking lot and asked me if I was homeless and needed any help. I guess she thought that only homeless people have bikes with saddlebags. Mine was the only bike there.

highonpez 06-23-13 11:09 PM

Someone help me figure out what I'm looking at here. What the hell was he doing? And there's no way for it to stop as is, right?

Yeah, yeah, not singlespeed. And maybe it should've gone in the jackass thread.

seau grateau 06-23-13 11:17 PM

You just let your ass slide off the saddle and Ted Shred with your taint when you want to stop.

c0urt 06-23-13 11:48 PM

ouch, i think you shift and it looks like you are scratching your balls.

Yeah there was one just a couple months ago going down Venice to the beach. The plan is to ultimately become weekly.
