Lol I've spent about an hour on it so far. I'm still trying to figure out how to make a sphere.

A few ways to do that.

Draw an arc and a centerline, then Revolve boss.

Draw circle, extrude height of diameter, fillet top and bottom with the value of the radius.

Actually figured out both of these before you responded, but the revolve boss didn't work. It said it intersected with something.

And I made a half circle with the other one, and called it good. I'm just dicking around right now instead of drafting what im actually supposed to do.

I took Intro to SolidWorks in the spring, decided to take Intro to Revit this quarter to see what I thought of architectural CAD. Already kinda wishing I'd jumped into the next level of SolidWorks instead, but I'm gonna try to grind through Revit anyways.

Today I had the sun go down before 7. Not liking the transition into fall one bit.

LesterOfPuppets 09-25-13 11:34 PM

Just wait 'til time change. Gonna be sun down @ 4:30 here pretty soon.

Winter time is good times, roads here are pretty much clear of idiots on bikes so I'm it's not a constant battle to get around the city.

Edit : Great time to listen to black metal too.

my least favorite part of fall/winter. im an occasional sufferer of S.A.D. because of it

wish it was always summertime daylight hours but with fall/spring weather year round

SpeshulEd 09-26-13 08:02 AM

No time change in AZ but the sun still sets early, I left work at 6 last night and had to use lights on my way home.

I remember growing up in Michigan and the sun setting at like 9pm in the summer. It was so great.

Today I got myself a Lawyer. It's a long and boring story, so I wont get into it.

Nagrom_ 09-26-13 12:36 PM

Today a couple friends and I planned for doing the Death Ride next year.

Mumonkan 09-26-13 12:48 PM

today i rode my bike around for the sole purpouse of exploring some random unknown areas of the island, and it was quite sucessful

The further north you go, the less winter daylight you get. Even here in Vancouver, sunrise is not until about 7am and sunset is at 7pm.
By December, sunrise will be just after 8am, while sunset will be at 4:15pm, barely giving us 8 hours of daylight.

Head up to Edmonton and those numbers change to 8:48am to 4:15pm.

It won't be long before I am living in darkness, arriving to work ahead of the sunrise and leaving well after. It's not the darkness I mind, it's the cold that comes with it.

I use one and it works believe it or not:
http://www.amazon.com/NatureBright-S...ords=sad+light

I work a 12 hour shift schedule, some days I start work at 530am (dark) and get out at 530pm (dark) so it gets depressing.

prooftheory 09-26-13 01:39 PM

In Buffalo at least, the sunrise actually occurs a few minutes later at the end of October than it does on the actual winter solstice.

Nagrom_ 09-26-13 01:44 PM

In California we're only getting like 18 hours of daylight.
I'm so SAD.

That ride has some climbing.

I know how much climbing you do.

"some climbing"
That's hella cute.
Death Ride has 4 cat 1s, 2 cat 2s, a handful of 3s, and the rest is negligible in comparison.

I actually haven't had a ride that had less than 2k feet of climbing in a very long time. I've changed my ways, it seems. I'm still not fast at it, I just do it. Still sucks.

SpeshulEd 09-26-13 03:01 PM

I'm a night person, the sun can go to hell.

I know what the Death Ride is bro.

Suddenly now you're a climber. I dig it. I don't believe it, but I dig it.

I know you know.

I'm definitely not a climber. I suck at it. I just do it.
