its doesn't feel like a "broken in" brooks B17 as they state.

its just a saddle. feels OK

Today I am sending back handlebars to amazon for the second time.....

I got the wrong handlebars, got send back the wrong handlebars, sent them back again today, and am simply getting a refund with no further explanation. THE ITEM SAYS IT'S BEEN IN STOCK FOR MONTHS

Wow more people than I expected here have/ got the cambium (for Christmas)... okay.

I agree with the points jdgesus said although a flip side is it's somewhat grippier than its moo cow brotheren.

I need a vintage beater for commuting now. Need townie.

So for somebody that doesn't like the feel of a Brooks and prefers modern plastic saddles, would the Cambium be a good choice?

the thing i dislike the most about the C17 is the nose part is very firm. I'm a nose saddle guy. i shift forward a lot to shorten my stroke /change muscles. regular brooks this isn't good either. but i tilt a regular brooks nose up and ride the hammock part. the C17 doesn't really have a hammocky part. so its better to ride it more level then you would a regular B17:

The hammock is what I dislike about a Brooks. Maybe when I'm shopping for a new saddle I will give the C17 or C15 a look. Right now I really like my Fizik Arione.

yeah, it feels a lot like a an older/wider road saddle (turbo/flite/etc) than anything skinny and modern.

Do you always have a cover of your Brooks? Anytime mine gets wet my ass feels planted to the leather.

i only cover it when its locked up and raining (w/ grocery bag), otherwise my ass does a good job of covering the saddle

i don't have any leather brooks anymore.

First impression on today's ride of the C17:

I like it, especially climbing. I have mine pretty level, maybe 1* tilted down (fit reasons). I may tilt it up a touch to make it almost exactly level. I'm typically a ride-on-the-nose kind of guy as well and it feels pretty similar to my selle italia and flite saddles when I do. However, when I scoot back to climb IT'S SO FRIGGIN NICE. The wider and flexier back part is perfect for my sit bones. Great amount of flex for grinding up a hill (which is the stressiest part of a saddle's job: sitting and spinning).

The grippiness is a nice, especially since my saddles tend to be slightly nose-down.

Less cambium talk, I've been holding strong on not buying one for a while but it can only last for so long.

I hate the brooks rain cover. You can pretty much equate it to a saddle contraceptive of sorts.

You'll never get me to go away from my selle italia flite.

Today I got in 26 miles, and am finally feeling better.

my track bike has one. i bought it randomly cause it was cheap used and i like the way they look. i don't really notice it on the track (a good thing), mebbe I should try one on road too.

Given a choice of the 3 legacy saddles, I would take a concor over the other 2. But then a flite before a turbo.

Meanwhile I have a NOS original flite sitting on my shelf of interesting bike stuff.

The flite is about the only saddle that works for me properly. The concor and turbo just feel like they are in the way.

Today I was a bottom bracket away from being able to ride this around.

I got to say this cadence computer I have now is kind of scaring me, but it is helping with the trainer. Seeing that my top measured rpm is at 198 rmp, I'm now determined to hit 200.
