Today I won't be riding my sweet new carbon bike. :(

Also, wind is 20+ mph, so wind chill is close to zero.

do you also do auto repair? or just body work?

i worked in a shop for awhile and was going to mmi in the past. Wish i finished....man i really wanted to just fix things for a living and instead because of some really stupid mistakes in the past im stuck cooking things which isnt so bad because apparently im good at it lol.

We do our own mechanical here but it's mostly just swapping suspension/radiators/condensers. No real diagnosing or block work.

Mmi is kind of a waste of money or at least a lot of the people we've hired from there have been clueless. Apprenticeships are the way to go when getting into a trade.

Today my commute had a flat so I took the tarck bike into work, hopefully it doesn't rain.

Today my boss just pushed me too far and I walked out. Wonder if I still have a job. Not a single **** was given.

Yea, time has been in shorter supply lately. Toss in a new girlfriend a few months back, and there isn't much time at all. Hopefully I'll be able to get back in here more often and whatnot. Wanted to get myself a road bike, and I'm sure that the fine people around here could help out a ton

Got burned twice and some redneck dickhead truck guy tried running me off the road. Then my car got booted.

Such beer

And it rained of course, been dry for almost two weeks but had to rain today. Was one of the sketchiest rides I've done in a while since the Kilo has just been used on the trainer for quite some time now and with a fresh rain, I had almost no traction. Rear wheel kicked out for a second when taking a corner.

12 hour work day! Woop wooooo--

GENESTARWIND 01-29-14 02:08 AM

ate **** on my way to work, pedal hit the edge of the sloped corner. Was going pretty fast and it picked my rear wheel off the ground enough for me to slide out. chewed up my right arm pretty good and almost took off the ratchet for my right shoes top strap :| its half gone now... suprised it still works lol.

Today I am working with Swift Industries on a new secret project. I also just did a frame paint and decal layout for another company. I have had such an amazing start to 2014 and I am so pumped on both of these projects.

calv 01-29-14 03:50 PM

Excited to learn more about that!

SpeshulEd 01-29-14 08:51 PM

Today, I averaged 19.8mph on my way home...think I'm getting back in the swing of things.

Today the new shop officially opened it's doors for the first time and had an absolutely awesome day.

Some pics of our new digs can be seen here.

Awesome, good luck with everything. I'll have to stop by if I can ever make it down to SD.

Is it weird that I'm so happy for and proud of you guys? We've never even met! Kudos nonetheless. :)

Scrodzilla 01-30-14 10:27 AM

Thanks Kaz! We're all like some sort of (slightly dysfunctional) family here so it makes sense. :)

It was an insane amount of work (which took about a month longer than expected) but Angie & I are really proud of how it turned out, especially considering we literally did everything ourselves. It's so crazy how what started as a small little online shop selling t-shirts back in 2009 turned into what you see in the pics.

It's much more than a "dream come true", it's a testament to what can be accomplished by setting goals and working your ass off around the clock to achieve them.

The BFSSFG community has always been really supportive of RG and we appreciate it 100%.

Got good news on the elbow. No surgery needed and I'm supposed to start bending it 4 to 5 times a day. No weight bearing for a 4 or so weeks.

Don't even have a cast. This is so foreign to me.
