Weekend has been full up with family stuff. Really cutting into my riding time. And I have to work on Monday, so who knows how much extra time I'll even want to spend in the saddle past my commute.

Today ( yesterday ) I was at the container store and caught a jar that fell which also happened to shatter in my hand. Got a pretty sweet gash just below my middle finger that started to bleed quite a bit. It was freaking an employee out. I washed it in the bathroom, but as soon as the water hit my exposed nerves I started to get woozy i sat down, passed out and was forced onto an ambulance and taken to the ER. All for a one inch cut. Whatever they're gonna have to pay for it.

finally found a store that sells turkish delight so that was awesome
hope my head is good for a 6 am rollout tomorrow, gonna try nyack on a 30 pound bike
(made it to piermont last year on my 30 pound scrambler with 8 pound wheels and no brakes) 3 speed fuji with front drum brake this time, pretty excited about it

Today I am back from camping, getting ready to head into work. It was so good to get away, first road trip on the bike, which performed really well. Next season though, I will invest in a slightly larger cog as some of the hills were more work than I liked.

today i finally completed my goal (that i set for myself last year) to ride a fixed gear century
honestly wasnt as hard as i expected it to be, and i even rode the hardest ride ive been on.
this time last year i felt worse than this after a 45 mile ride, and im not even destroyed
https://app.strava.com/activities/56657712 for not playing the metric century game
im very happy today.
