Today I (v2):
Hey, now. It's not all rednecks and meth heads
Come to Florida and I'll show you some amazing stuff off the beaten path. I hope you and @AristoNYC are down to hang when I am headed through NY in October.
I have been picking berries like mad this week. Rode the flatter 20 mile gravel road to a steep blueberry-filled mountain hike twice this week with coworkers. Both times we left near 8 PM, hiked/picked until 10, and then descended the trail in the dark hoping to not run into bears, then rode home in the rain until about midnight. Also, the salmon are running out here and it's bonkers to watch in person.
A couple pics from our group tandem ride, plus bonus bear photos:

OK y'all there's one good thing in Florida, and that's Central Florida Randonneurs. Their RBA is the legendary Octopus. If you haven't read his epic Mont Ventoux story from four years ago, you're in for a real treat:
Paul Rozelle’s 24-hour, pre-PBP, fixed-gear, Mont Ventoux ride

There's a sweet early 70's Toyota Landcruiser in my parents hood -- its got this giant sticker on it that is literally like "Don't ****ing ask me if this is for sale" haha I'm sure you can whip something up.. Or don't park it right in front of your store

Today I realized I'm going to fall short for millage from last year, which is really quite depressing. Upside I have more elevation and seem stronger. But still a total downer.

no texass beef here. ive never been but its on my list of places i need to go. unfortunately ive been to FL many times and it doesnt get any better
bars too wide to fit thru the doorway? that was the only thing stopping me from keeping my moto in my living room at my old apt. just tell them youll sell it for a dumbass amount of money and after they laugh just stare deep into their soul till they get creeped out and go away
hows the bonz doin? i guess things are going according to plan, saw moped rides on the instagram machine the other day
knife party bros!
didnt you only move to ME this year? im sure the snowfall had something to do with that. i put a premium on elevations instead of mileage these days, though a ride isnt really a ride unless its at least 80 miles at this point
today i signed up to be a part of the cambium C13 testing. hope i get it, i love the c17 carved i have on the mtb and having a light skinny version on the trek would be tasty

The skeleton is doing pretty well. I can sneeze without feeling like my ribs are going to explode and ride my bikes in moderation now (although getting out of the saddle still makes me feel like my arm will break off). Cruising around on the townie and mopeds mostly. Every day is a little better.
You might like Austin, but the rest of the big cities are questionable.
Fun fact: I was lost looking for my then girlfriends grandmother's house in Innerlarken FL when I pulled up to the wrong driveway(dirt road) and the home owner came outside with a rifle.
Assuming you weren't driving a F-350 with Stars n bars flying, could have been a different story.
I could keep it inside but there isn't much room in the shop for it (and I know Angie would end up wanting to kill me if I tried parking it in the shipping room.

Checked out the new Sworks Venge. It is an amazing bike, from the stem, to the fully internal lines, to the fully aero brakes, to the roughly $13,000 price tag....
But, a huge surprise, it weighs 17.87 pounds with a 54 cm frame. Over a pound more than the 60 cm framed SWorks Venge (2 years old, with Ultegra). Weird!
