And jdg: yeah I got his info... I called the police mainly for the report, not interested in pressing charges or anything. There's some big monetary damage here to my bike and so I'll be dealing w his insurance.

Today I put in 28 miles of the 40 I had planned. Flatted at mile 12 and at mile 28. Had a tube, but forgot to bring enough Co2 for the 2nd flat.

Today is PTO for me, but I'm here (3-4hrs tops) anyway in order to stay above water!

The joys of salary!

GuitarBob 02-17-14 08:42 PM

Today, for some odd reason, I decided that I want a sugar glider for a pet.

striknein 02-17-14 08:50 PM

Finally cleaned off my desk. It's been so long I forgot what ****ing color it was.

It's brown, in case you were wondering.

Yesterday I went to the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in DC to see Jonathan Wilson only to find out
the show was cancelled due to illness.

seau grateau 02-17-14 09:58 PM

Today I got to work for my overtime shift and found out it was cancelled.

Leukybear 02-18-14 10:45 PM

Today I found a hairline crack on my roadie.

Nothing but a minor inconvenience w/ a year left to my 3 year warranty & a back up frameset.

With the back up frameset being mirror finished...
"Is that... is that electrical tape holding up your harness?"
-"Why yes, yes it is."

Dannihilator 02-18-14 11:00 PM

That sucks.

Today I toyed around on the dmr some and started to think about replacing the frame.

It's a small world, I would be in your area every time I go to target or home depot. Or the dreaded DMV...
I think you're the closest member to me. Genesee is a fun ride.

TMonk 02-19-14 09:25 AM

I rarely ride on Genesee, but I take Balboa all the time to access the coast or Santa Fe/Rose Canyon Path.

Balboa sucks on many levels.

johnnytheboy 02-19-14 10:03 AM

I ran out a good welding coupon but it wasnt on a certified test piece. I have to do another now, I guess practice makes perfect?

TIG, stick or MIG?

A 22, tig root and hot, 7018 out. I let my certs expire and hadnt touched a stick rod in over a year. Been in the booth abour 4 hours a day for 7 days. Today was the light at the end of the tunnel.

I ran a carbon 6" coupon, tig root with stainless flux core fill and cap last week just screwing around. Pretty crazy how nice/weird it comes out.

SpeshulEd 02-20-14 12:25 AM

Today my mother read this article and thought it was true...I laughed for about 5 minutes.

My camelbak is singing to me, and I'm too lazy to get up and make it stop.
