Today I put a flatbar on the Puch and tried it out. Like it better with the flat bar.

Convinced my new lady friend to get a bike from BD, it wasn't a kilott.

Nah, the dawes steel bike. I tried to convince her on at least the Windsor but she's not the outdoorsy kind of person and kind of broke so just went with the cheapest. I'm sure it will out last her desire to ride bikes.

Today I installed some new tires on my MTB. Time to hit the trails again!

Sherblock 06-13-14 11:28 PM

Today I graduated! So now I'm officially done with high school.

Devil's Week 600 by pdewey2 at Garmin Connect - Details

Garmin is wacked about the elevation. This ride had 7500 meters of climbing, give or take.
75gi is too tall. I'm going to 70gi or so the next time I do a ride with this much climbing.

TMonk 06-14-14 08:08 AM

congrats Sherblock.

Congrats! You'll be at your next graduation before you know it. :)

Today I took my first steps without crutches in two weeks! I had a fairly low-speed spill while wearing flip-flops  and messed up my left foot (chipped bone, 8 stitches, swollen as hell until a couple days ago). This is the first milestone on the road to recovery and it feels sooooooo good.

:thumb: I remember feeling so good when I was finally able to support my own weight during my car collision recovery.

Today I finally got to riding dirt with the Straggler. I kept my road tires on but it is begging for some monstercross tires.

Went to the SD county fair with the sqrl. Ate all the food and lost all the games! (well except for one, the last one)

One of the best fairs IMHO.

JohnDThompson 06-15-14 04:21 PM

Today, we drove home from Door County, where we camped since Friday. Yesterday, I rode a century on my fixed gear bike. :thumb:

Philasteve 06-15-14 05:38 PM

Today I rode, chilled in the Cemetery with a few beers and just relaxed.

Leukybear 06-15-14 07:17 PM

Here's some sweet pseudo-fixie road bike gore for you guys:

How was it? Hilly terrain? I'm considering doing RAGBRAI (ride across Iowa) next summer on my SS Steamroller. I may wimp out and run a front derailleur and tensioner setup.

hairnet 06-15-14 07:42 PM

Today I fit a 29er 2.35" front tire on my Straggler. Needless to say, I am very excited by this.

50voltphantom 06-15-14 08:11 PM

^holy crap. That just doesn't seem likely.

hairnet 06-15-14 08:16 PM

It's a tight fit that doesn't allow for much wheel flex at all, but it confirms that I can fit some narrower 29er tires with less aggressive tread no problem :thumb:

Not too bad. There are some hills, but nothing too tall or too steep. This was actually the third time I did that century fixed, so I knew what I was getting into.
