Tonight I was out riding with the guys for the first time since I don't know when. Was fun, happy I made it out. I need to stop being such a shut in.

Put derailleurs on the Fuji, sold my Retrospec. I guess I won't be hanging around FG/SS much until I complete my Leader and Switch.
Goodbye FGSS....goodbye...goodbye..........bye.......bye......*echoes into the distance*

Somewhat.
The guy who put this on organized a more relaxed setup that was closer to a scavenger hunt.
Each location had a sheet with points that you tore off, so getting there early netted you more points. Beer receipts from bars were worth bonus points, fixies, costumes etc also got you more points. And we had a physical challenge of eating boiled eggs over a 5 minute period, which added points to your score. Most of the guys in our group drank 4 beers or so during the race.
I ended up taking 1[SUP]st[/SUP] out of 20 or so guys and celebrated accordingly afterward.

Since we are on the subject of watches.
Today I wore the recent birthday gift from my lady.
And I managed to time my commute to miss the rain two days in a row. F*** yes.

Continuing the wristwatch derailment.
I can go about wearing a different watch everyday for a couple days. Scary thing is when this isn't even half, I have more back in the bay area.
All these watches are daily wearers. I have some collectible ones that I don't have the guts to take the tags off of although I'm slowly coming to terms of selling off some of those.
At the point I was putting them back away, I realized I forgot to include the watch I was wearing and the more colorful ones that my sqrl had "borrowed" (hence the vast majority being dark colored).

I've been bartending at my current restaurant for a little over 6 months (since the restaurant first opened it's doors) and today we were awarded best new restaurant in the Kansas City area.
I thought that was pretty neat, I dunno.

Does the Kansas City area include Jersey, or is that just the Kansas City Metro area?

I have a bunch of those too. Those were just the ones I picked up here.
Haven't cared too much about how much they're worth. More interested in fixing them and appreciating the nostalgia, the one at the bottom is one of my current projects pending spare parts.

I used to think Leuky was bragging when he would tell us about his collection of Campagnolo friction shifters but now I'm kind thinking he could end up on an episode of Hoarders.

Today I rode for the first time since I will that's it. Today, I also rode brakeless. It was actually pretty much fine, although there was one time when I almost fell in the street, and there were a few times where I instinctively reached for my brake handle before realizing it wasn't there anymore
