Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The frame is at my parents house, since I'll be building it there. I'm probably nit picking, but the owner Terry Dolan emailed me to apologize stating that he agrees the paint is poor on the frame. I'm opting to take a partial refund to repaint the frame. I just need to find a proper vendor to do so. The welding isn't terrible, but there is a spur under the paint, I'll try to snap some pictures when I'm up at my parents again.

The battery in my truck is kaput after only two years. Must be the curse of Friday the 13th.

therein lies the problem, I'm not sure. maybe a cream tan or even a lighter pink. I might buy some plasti dip to see what color I like best, then get it professionally painted once I figure out the color I want.

Today I post on the ss/fg forums for the first time, thanking the lord that I have no serious injuries after I stupidly tried to cross an intersection on red and ran into the path of a speeding car last night. I wish I could say the same for my bike.

I guess technically it should be a semi-transpacific. Just HNL to LAX on American.

She digs the camel tail look of my spandex so as long as she gets picture updates, she's happy.

Fell.

Twice.

Within about 40 feet.

Frozen ruts concealed by 4" powdered snow. Man, does it happen fast! Can't wait to see how the shoulder feels tomorrow.
