I ride SS and I've always seen the 'hoods' as a compromised ergonomic hand position for both handlebar grip and braking. Whereas with bullhorns allow you to fully grip the bars and more effectively squeeze the brake lever(s). I actually like the look of modern compact drops w/levers better than bullhorns and bar end levers.

You're making me miss bullhorns. My buddy is borrowing mine at the moment..I've often wondered how different pursuit style bars are. You try those before?

50voltphantom 02-03-15 12:23 PM

I'm currenly using these:

Profile Design - Airwing

and I love the shape, but I need a wider 44cm bar. I've posted on here before how I think there's really 3 different usable hand positions.

Nice, what's the route? PCH?

Unkle Rico 02-03-15 01:37 PM

Some of it is on PCH and some on other roads - should be a crazy experience.

It's a charity ride, not a race, but still cool that you're doing it. Have fun and be safe.

Unkle Rico 02-03-15 01:45 PM

Well I mean, i'm going to race the whole time. Yep.

:speedy:

Today I rode 14 miles in the coldish rain because I can't stand to be cooped up in the house. It did not suck.

She loved it.

I approve

It's too bad baby-g's & women's specific bikes get the same kind of crap treatment.... aside from that one ugly one, there's no such thing as a atomic or tough solar (I'm not even going to mention modern frogman features) baby-g.

My sqrl wears this one like a bracelet:

One of my rarest. Got reamed buying it NOS, it was too nice to wear out. My sqrl on the other hand simply grabbed it from my big pile o' watches and to this day does not know what she has aside from it being "uncommon" and "sticks out in a good way". Welp.

I honestly didn't realize it was gone until I saw her wearing it. It was only after complimenting her taste in watches that it clicked. :o

I got an implant in my mouth so I can get a faux tooth up in there.

Pro-tip: Don't tie one of those red wagons with crappy rope to a bike and ride in it down the hill. I chipped my tooth doing that as a kid and way later in my life it became infected. So out it went last year and now things are gearing up for a new one.

Mine would snag that one too. Like most girls, she loves that teal color. I also got myself one but it's nit here yet. I've never been into them but holding hers made me want one. I didn't stray away from my preferred look of analog watches so I got this one. Perfect for me because I wear grey watches to work lolhttp://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=432350

I just finished reading that whole thing. You are going to have a lot of stories to remember for years.

One door closes, another opens. I bought a car.

Goodbye, money, it was cooling hanging out for a while.

Unkle Rico 02-04-15 02:32 PM

What'dya get?

I gotta sell my 85 vdub :(

Leukybear 02-04-15 02:39 PM

Welp it looks like USPS lost my package from MASH transit.... and MASH essentially said well you're SOL stop barking up our tree and bother USPS.

Thankfully I have no remorse against filing a paypal chargeback against the arrogant ****tards at MASH.
**** them.
