Nope.
We're all going to hell. |
i read a huge article (relictantly) for one of my classes a couple years ago about how theyre trying to bring biodiesel to the mainstream but the stigma of diesel being dirty and inefficient and for big trucks that shoot out dirty black clouds is holding it back
lets just all ride ****ing bikes. |

I heard bikes are eco-friendly. I think. Perhaps?

I have a 67 Corvette that gets about 4mpg highway, and a Chevy equinox that gets 24mpg.
America. We need more nuclear power. |

Those oversize all terrain tires really reduce your mileage.

Except that they won't because bigger tires cover more ground with each revolution.

Works on bikes too right?

You know what the problem was with those old 4 cycles, smog.

Yes, which is why most good gear inch calculators use tire size as a factor.

yeah, but they require more energy to spin, which was my point.
It takes more energy to spin up a 29" mtb wheel than a 20" bmx wheel. But once it gets going, the larger wheel holds momentum better. |

So you're saying running bigger heavier tires will increase your MPG?
nvm: he was trollin' |

TIL that FedEx SmartPost - where your local USPS does the final to-your-door delivery leg - is complete ****.
Amazon shipped me the new Boards of Canada LP over a week ago. Shows as DELIVERED on the tracking as of June 13, but it is nowhere to be found. My mailroom guy (I had it shipped to work) says that our local post office is completely awful and he's not surprised this happened, and that it's happened to him and other staff before. The USPS marked it as delivered even though it wasn't, and now there's no way to track it. Whee!

Currently looks like this. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0001_large.jpg Also, f' the haters. Congrats for saving up and buying your first car yourself. Not everyone has a mommy and daddy that will buy them a brand new prius/jetta/whateverthe**** is trendy with kids these days. Plus, you'll care for a car you buy yourself much more than one given to you. I also own a gas guzzling SUV, yes it's bad for the environment, but so is every other car on the road. Unfortunately, not everyone can live car free and not everyone uses their car to drive around the city. I take my truck to the middle of the desert and camp there. It needs to be able to get me in and out of tricky situations where no cell towers are present and the closest sign of civilization is a multiple day walk. Some people actually use their vehicles for their intended purposes. Anyway, back on track...today I commuted to work and then did a club ride on top of that. I'm pooped. Time for a beer. Also, those honey stinger waffles are delicious! |

It's the tread pattern that's the problem, not the diameter.

Older Cherokees are rad and half the people who whine about the environment smoke cigarettes and eat food laced with chemicals. |
