Good God my commute home tonight was nerve wracking.

730pm along the Embarcadero on 4th of July. Everyone wanted me dead.

Been in the woods since Thursday, ended today with a fifteen mile hike around a lake. Hiking hurts my old man knees.

kbarch 07-05-15 02:02 PM

... did hill repeats. Of a sort, anyhow. A loop not too far from home has a .7 mile 3% segment, which I climbed, and a quarter mile with about an 8% grade, which I descended very carefully. On the geared bikes I do it the other way around, but this is just my second day fixed. :)

Today a lady in my building saw me with my bike in the elevator and asked me to come help her with her bicycle. I went to her apartment and she could be on that show Hoarders. I couldn't believe the amount of junk she had stacked all over the place. she had a little walkway through all the piles. I put some air in her tires and got out before I be came a piece of the collection.

Hahaha still waiting on it in the mail.

Once this bmx bike gets to me I'm selling my Cannondales and finishing my GT and I'm probably done with bikes.

Mumonkan 07-06-15 02:23 AM

Nagrom_ 07-06-15 07:24 AM

Aww yeah! I bought two a few years back from some guy selling them from a school music department. I don't think they were ever used.

If you really want to be horrified, ask her why that stuff (JUNK) is so important and really listen to her answers.

If you are talking an actual zero carb diet, DON"T do it man. It's really bad for you. It's a kidney killer just for starters.

Mumonkan 07-07-15 09:16 AM

+1.

any diet that omits a critical dietary component will either make you very sick or kill you. especially as a cyclist (one that rides as much as you do) lives and breathes carbs. your abilities on the bike will suffer along with your general health

you need carbs to live, just like you need fats and proteins.
