Looking back at it, I regret when I replied "sure" to the buddy who proposed "Hey, let's do the nifty ten fifty".

Also RIP my galaxy s4, the fumbled one.

I love those pictures... It is nice to see them there. Is there anywhere else on the web where you collect and share your bicycle photographs? They are lovely and inspirational... It would be nice to peruse a gallery of them (though stumbling into your pictures in the archives of BF is fun, too).

I killed my S4 a little over a month ago. Limping along with my olde hardly working Droid Pro. Getting a Moto G on Tues.

Honestly I'm sure I'll be fine, I simply have a tendency to overthink stuff like this and share it with the world.

It's about 47 miles from Cleveland MAX stop to Timberline. HWY 26 is pretty mellow all the way up. There's only a couple of short kinda steep sections on Timberline road, but even that is pretty mellow gradient overall.

This was the worst part, I think. Getting from that road down there to this road up here. Glad I had triple for that bit.

Today I broke into the top four in my fantasy baseball league after spending most of the season stranded at eighth. Now I'm jinxing my late-season rally.

Huffandstuff 09-07-15 10:28 PM

Bought some gloves for the winter today, bring on the cold rain.

Also the girlfriends aunt gave us an old Miyata 10 speed in pretty good condition and mostly all original parts. Going to clean it up and see what idiots will pay for it on CL.

Dannihilator 09-07-15 10:41 PM

Today I took the Ribmo's off the surly, what a harsh ride feel.

Cool! Thanks for sharing that. They featured the M106 bars that I just acquired. :)

I had a dream about your bike last night.

TMonk 09-08-15 11:54 AM

EZ day, 1hr with one hot lap (10') around Fiesta. Don't feel tired, but legs are stiff from riding so much last week, -25 TSB this morning after two days off.

This week: Mostly easy with one 3hr ride (tmrrw).
Next week: Same
Week after next: FTP testing and base training begins! I'm participating in El Tour de Tucson again this year, which is a lot more than I usually ride. My "preparation" will consist of a couple 4-5hr rides/week, and the rest EZ. Maybe a week or two of less volume and some threshold work. After El Tour (Nov 21), will drop volume and focus on threshold, I prefer riding lower volume and higher intensity anyway.

But wait, it gets better:

This weekend: Sierra backpacking trip! Parking at Onion Valley (shortest way to the crest) and camping in Kearsarge Lakes basin. Day 2 will feature a class 3 scramble up nearby University Peak, 13,600' with some epic 360 degree views.

I can't wait!
