They should 86 the seattube Ritchey and use a white fill on the DT Ritchey and stripes, IMO.

Hmm, interesting. I like it (mostly) the way it is, but I wish the red was slightly more orange, and the stripes even more understated.

The red-white-blue tri-color paint scheme got discontinued last year, which is a slight bummer. The specific wheel/frame size I wanted (27.5/17") is now sold out in all big online vendors. It's a little too "go America" for me, but looks sweet when built up, and mimics a classic paint scheme from the early days of xc racing:

Dang, I didn't know they ditched the red white and blue. P series was always one of my dream bikes. Shoulda got that P-22 I saw for $300 in the late '90s, but no dough at the time.

It does look cleaner.

Today my gf and I are about 6 grand into vet bills.

Our dog is severely epileptic, generally has about one episode every two weeks, which usually involves 3-5 gran Mal seizures over the course of a few hours.
Well he's been having unctrolled seizures for the past 3 days. Nearly 50. He's been in doggie icu for almost 2 days. They've been pumping him full of phenobarbital and Valium to try and control the seizures.

Sorry guys I don't know if you all even care to hear about this because I don't ride a Fixed gear but I'm a ****ing mess.

I love my pup.

jlafitte 09-20-15 05:14 PM

Sorry to hear man. Also, people who don't ride fixed are still people, just sayin.

Nagrom_ 09-20-15 05:16 PM

I guess we'll try not to fall in love with the runt of the litter from now on.

He's a husky/malamute! The malamute calms him down a bit luckily haha. He's such a good dog.

rex615 09-20-15 06:23 PM

Nagrom_ hope he gets better. our JTR of 15 years died last week so I know how attached we get.

Mumonkan 09-20-15 06:43 PM

i love doges. i cant wait to move back into a place with land so i can get a husky again and train him as a trail doge

cant decide: alaskan klee kai (M) alaskan husky (L) wolfdoge (XL)

added benefit of wolfdoge is if i break myself on the trail i could ride him back to civilization

Older, richer, more experienced, and more informed crowd relative to Bike forums, from what I've seen so far. They just don't post as often. Their classified section is really really busy though.

Nagrom_ sorry to hear that about your pup :( He's a cool dog.

Muffin Man 09-20-15 11:33 PM

Going in to the dentists tomorrow morning. Swelling hasn't let up very much, and I'm pretty sure my bottom left hole got infected. There's been some foul tasting stuff in my mouth lately, and that side has been hurting again.

Dudn't matter what you ride. You have a dog. That means more than your bike. Hope everything gets worked out. I have a small lil feller myself, not too much going on in the brains department, but how can you not love em? Sending some doge hugs and a bone for your pup.

Meh.

Tapered HTs look a little ugly on steel frames (imo), but it gives me more fork options now and going fwd.

Sorry to hear that, hope your bud gets better.

I had a real tough time after the Marines (infantry/Iraq/lost a handful of friends) and mom happened to pass away from cancer within 6 months of me getting out. I think the only thing that saved me was adopting a little scraggly 13lb terrier mix. We're inseparable and the closest bond I've ever had with a dog. I'll spend days mulling over what seat I want to buy but wouldn't give it a second though to spend thousands if anything happened to him. I'll keep your dog in my thoughts and send good energy.

Did they prescribe antibiotics to take both before and after the surgery ? This is starting to sound like incompetency on their part.

No. I asked them about it before the operation, and they said antibiotics aren't actually necessary unless you have an infection.
