No pleats? No cuffs? No collar? No Rolex? You are endangering our children. It's jail for you Mr. Hobo.

Huntington Beach is still a calm beach town. I took my tests there, afterwards rode my bike around and went to Seal Beach. It was chill as ****.

Yeah craigslist pulled through on this one. He didn't even list the size but it looked like a 49cm in the pictures, so I got super lucky. I'm probably gonna keep this one because its pretty nice.

Edit: Took about 2 hours to get all the sticker residue off though. That was a pain. Looks good now, though.

Nice. How did you go about aligning the mount and keeping it fixed in place? What gas did you use for your torch?

Just used a propane torch and some picture frame wire to hold it in place after test fitting and marking location. Placement ended up being ~2mm low so I had to add the two flat washers pictured between the caliper and adapter.

Installed that new bar tape, it looks like gauze but we will see how it breaks in.http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/...822_134847.jpg

Today I learned about Dakar MB's from the 80's -- I really want one now for some reason. Lugged construction, good build quality and decent looks..

Today I took my RXS and made is as waterproof as possible. All threads have sealant, bearings are with waterproof and low-washout grease, and touch for gasket covers.

NOW I RIDE IT IN THE DOWNPOUR!!!

Sometime next week, bike has been on loan the last two weeks and have it going out again this week. Fitment is all jacked up, don't want bike nerds being angry at me.

Nagrom_ 08-23-15 01:48 PM

We're already mad.

Mumonkan 08-23-15 01:59 PM

Someone please let me know what type of crankset this is.
Land Shark Track Shark - Pedal Room

Love the black cranks/spider and the polished disc ring with no cut outs.

I'm a little picky and really like this style/look...I'm hoping it's not ultra-rare/$$$ (I'll always see something I want and then find out it's expensive/rare, lol).

Thanks

Mumonkan 08-24-15 04:53 AM

looks like a zen ring thats been polished on 75s

50voltphantom 08-24-15 09:36 AM

Today (last Friday actually) I thought it would be totally epic to extend my commute home by about 34 miles and make it a 44 mile ride instead of 10 miles. I made this genius decision after I was nearly bonking from the get-go. Fast forward 20 miles and both of my legs would almost completely cramp up if I encountered a hill or stopped pedaling for any length of time. I was *this close* to having to make a Call of Shame from the middle-of-nowhere. Thank God for electrolytes.

Unkle Rico 08-24-15 09:40 AM

Landshark bikes are sweet -- I see road bikes from time to time on CL in SanFran, so rad!

I'm confused. The bike doesn't have a black spider and arm. They look gold/champagne to me. I think it's a Sugino Grand Mighty.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
