Today I (v2):
Yep, Today was my first day with arm and leg warmers, avg temp of 37 on this mornings ride. On the upside, today was the first time I wasn't dropped on this particular group ride!

Great ride, perfect weather except for the 20-25 wind coming from the west. 1500 participants, all kinds of bikes. There was a couple on a tandem that was riding pretty effortlessly, I was tempted to ask to ride their wheel but it's supposed to be a casual ride. Managed to hang with them though... got to the finish and found out they were Christian Van de Velde and his wife.

I thought this would never happen to me but I let the di2 battery run down to that point I was 1x11 this ride. #couldvebeenworse if I ran it to the point of a SS bike where everything just stops due to the lack of juice.
cleaned the trek and used the tensiometer to totally square away my first wheel build
front wheel: almost spot on just from feel, generally even tension
rear: needed more tension on the NDS side, generally tension wasnt very even
now i know why hubs with a lot of dish can be annoying to build with. DS was maxed out but i couldnt bring NDS up too high before knocking it out of dish

Got a front rack, and went for a relaxed ride with a few friends around town.

I have a promax brake up front, and it gets in the way of the rack sitting any lower (it currently sits a little over 2" over the front wheel) anyone know a brake that's a bit more low profile? or am I overthinking this.

New shoes came in today. I was torn on which size to order, but looks like I did it right. Exustar's 43 fits me like a glove. Quality seems pretty decent too. Road test imminent.

Didn't get new shoes today, but got the next best thing, namely new buckles and straps for my old Shimano SH-R215 SPDSL shoes that I love so much. They almost feel like new now.
Sitting here waiting for my bart train kinda flustered.
It's Sunday so there's not many people on bart today. When I was coming into the station 3 guys were in front of me and went though the available terminals including the handicap/bike terminal which is double wide. The double wide terminal is different in that you have to manually pull your bart card out after it opens, it doesn't just shoot out the top of the machine for you to grab.
Well the guy ****s that up and leaves his card sticking out the terminal as he and his pals head up the escalator. I grab his card, swipe my clipper and rush to catch him.
Him and his two buddies are standing in the middle of the escalator talking and I'm trying to get his attention. Felt like they were actively ignoring me for some reason. I Finally tap his backpack a few times and say "Hey buddy".
Then him and his two friends start giving me **** for having a bike on the escalator! "no bikes on the escalator" "it can jam the escalator" "it's a 250 dollar ticket"
Wtf.
"you left your bart card in the terminal."
Then I tossed it off the top of the escalator.
**** those guys.

Been dealing with my upstairs neighbor now for way too long. Her dog barks, and it barks almost non stop. The complex asked me to stop leaving notes on her door as she found it to be threatening.

Started documenting everything like time and length of barking and submitted to the complex. Been doing that for almost 3 weeks. Today, I had it with the barking. Called the cops and filed a noise complaint. I like dogs, I have one, I love them. I am not keen on being woken up every morning at 6:45 by a barking dog however. I work second shift. That doesn't fly.
