Today I (v2):
today my boss saw my ecr as i was getting ready to leave
boss: thats a different bike?
me: yeah i have a few, this is the "fun" one
boss: got like tractor tires on that thing, its frightening
me: thats what makes it the fun one
achievement: unlocked.

Today I visited my fixed gear at the shop. Yesterday, while riding to work, the axle on the rear hub decided that it had enough. Drive side of the axle is completely stripped. Not sure how in the hell this happened, but it happened. Starting to think that the wheels lived a heavily abused life before I inherited them. My buddy at the shop has a connection at American Classic now, and luckily, I got the hook up. Rebuild kit is in the mail and should be at the shop soon. Wheel will be like new. While I was there, I wrapped the bars on my geared Felt since I didn't like the tape that was on there. Mucho better.
Today I went and picked up a frame to replace the old one. Also talked to Richard for a bit.

That's his whipped right there. I didn't even notice that the left brake lever was removed

I sometimes wonder if I check the tracking info for my USPS/UPS bike orders more often than I do checking my regular emails. haha
I'll sign up so I get email tracking updates.
But I'll still be sitting at my job pondering "Maybe the text/email service is lagging. Better manually check my tracking number" and proceed to check online.
It's a sickness.

What I really hate is FEDEX Smartpost, where FEDEX transports between cities and then delivers to the USPS for final local delivery. Not only does this add days to the delivery time, but tracking is lost once FEDEX transfers custody to USPS.

So true, I feel ripped off when they do that.

I once had a smartpost package get delivered directly by FEDEX, from what I presume was a mistake on their end, a day early. #bestdayever

5hrs mostly steady today, with some random hammering in the middle, and 1x12' at ~94% (255w) towards the end on Fiesta Island.
I'm cooked.

Picked up a set of black 165mm Sugino 75's with Sugino BB for an awesome deal. The Zen chainring is next on the list.
Funny how hearing a BB squeak/click can make you justify upgrades. haha The bottom bracket is almost 10 years old though.
