Peach. Mmmm....

I built up a whipped cream cake last weekend.

Whipped some heavy cream (a bit of sugar and vanilla added), layer it with Nabisco chocolate wafers, top with shaved baker's chocolate, garnish with raspberries or whatever fruit you like. Pop in the fridge for an hour or two or three.

Bikes: All of them

Today I picked up a Paul Components lever for the front brake on my commuter fixed gear. Never really liked the feel of the cheap Tektro one but put up with it for years, and it finally started feeling gross enough to justify replacement. Went a little too far in the other direction... feels like I should frame this new lever on the wall as art instead of screw it onto my cheap bullhorns.

Today I slept in, watched Hackers, and then went on a nice (although very windy) ride through downtown to Great Lakes Brewing where I enjoyed a couple pints. Now I'm bored, and I wish I had stayed longer.

Went out for a ride in the rain with my buddy and he ate **** on the final sprint we do. Came down hard on his side after unclipping on the up-pull - everything is more slippery in the rain. Two of the nipples on his front wheel tore through the rim. RIP Mavic Ellipse

Crashed pretty bad today coming down Hamilton. Helmet is toast, and my jawbreakers are in pieces now. Shifters, shoulder, and arms took the majority of the damage. No broken bones, and everything still works.

My bar tape wasn't even damaged, and I'm pretty sure my Rd didn't even hit the ground.

****, sorry to hear, but glad it wasn't worse. Helmets and shades are much more easily replaceable than bones. Heal up quick!

Got my kilo set up by my LBS yesterday. I changed the pedals and bars so far. It's so comfortable and I've gotten like 5 compliments on it so far
