That's, ugh, interesting? I wonder if you can feel that seam as a lump when riding?

True. On our trikes (Catrikes) the front wheels only attach from one side so this is possible. On my Velo, even the rear wheel is single sided.
Still, i don't find removing a wheel so difficult, even one with extra parts like an IGH or a coaster brake.

Today I just got done wrenching on 2 of my bikes.
CX bike - removed fenders and swapped out tube that was flat on the rear. Started to peel the wheel decals.....wish I wouldn't have. Only the rear is done. Need to find the Goo Gone to finish it before I take it on the dirt. Swapped a Phenom 143 saddle on there in prep for a gravel/dirt road race mid April. Will finish getting that dialed in this week. Taking it from commuter to racer.
TK2 - Replaced rear Gatorskin which is shot. Bulge on the side, wear indicators are gone, getting slow leaks like a siv. Swapped back to the TKR2 wheelset because the red wheels are just too much. These have a bit more weight to them but they look so much better. Front brake track has remained black and shows no sign of wear. Technically it is a brake track but doesn't grip as much as a standard. Been using the brake less and just riding around stuff if possible. The bike wants to go fast, it's steadier that way. Might have my buddy at the shop build me up a set of all black wheels that he keeps talking about. Will have to see how the income tax return is this year. Oh, and I got my wheel centered and chain tension down pat the first try. That just doesn't happen for me, ever. Always end up back and forth and it's too loose or too tight or whatever.

Just watched the video out of curiosity, and wow, that is one of the stupidest bike "innovations" I've seen in a while. JA worthy IMO.

I was in a Meijer store once. Was like 3AM on a Tuesday morning or something and I'm trying to buy some food. Guy in front of me is buying a boat anchor.
No kidding. 3AM. A boat anchor.
That place has what you need, that's for sure.

And sometimes cruiser wheels are really hard to remove. For some configurations you have to remove the rear fender, rear rack, and coaster brake arm just to change a tire.

Yeah you guys that don't have Meijer are missing out. I have 2 within 4 miles of my apartment. They have just about everything you would need. I have never seen those tubes before however. Will look the next time I am there.

Those have been around in BMX circles for many years. Mostly for the very lazy, or non-mechanical.

Tonight I rode 18 miles after sunset with the L&M lights.
There was so much pollen that it was like driving in the snow with high beams on.

Today I took off the studded tires and put on the Paselas. A PITA to switch each way (including the gearing), but worth it each time.

It is funny people occasionally come by the shop wanting to buy an entirely new wheelset because they very rarely if ever go mountain biking and don't want to swap tires. They would rather buy a cheap-o wheelset so they don't have since they likely already have a similar wheelset so they aren't upgrading.
