I definitely need practice holding lines and riding close to people. I ride solo almost every ride.

Thanks. My main concern (fear) is riding with other novices and causing a pileup.

Nice, that's a big ride!

This morning I picked up my MTB from the marines!!! Woohoo! They've had it since New Years Eve.

This also happens to be an easy/unstructured week for me on the bike as well, which means I will be riding it exclusively between now and Track next T .

Woohoo! Congrats on getting it back, finally! I'm riding my SS MTB a lot this week too, in prep for riding it in my second-ever MTB race on Sunday (Sea Otter Classic XC).

Is WNR starting already!? How did I miss that.

EDIT: I see it on their calendar now. Damn. I'll definitely try to get off early next Wednesday to come down for it.

Almost went on a 30 mile ride after work but then I realized I don't have a BD gravel bike so it would never work.

Eating corndogs instead.

Today I received a tracking number that could be something pretty ****ing rad. Then after work i did 40 miles on some newish roads. While I was riding I heard my keys jingling around and I couldn't get them to quiet down, that's when I realized I didn't bring my keys. It was from a dog collar. The dog had been chasing me and was just about at my heels. Nearly **** my bib. I'm considering one of those animal pepper spray things now that I've been chased down a few times.

I've had to call the animal control already this year. They were very responsive, sent someone out to the residence the next day and he called me from the guy's front porch. Said they thought the guy was home but that he wouldn't answer his door and didn't see the three dogs. The animal control officer said flat out that I should just spray the dogs next time I see them.
