Summited Mt Tam four different ways from sea level today, including one dirt climb. 13.5k feet in ~105 miles. Ouch.

First, great job!

Second, do you hate yourself?

Congrats on reaching average life expectancy. It's the bonus round from here on out.

frame?

I need to do myself a favor and build up a SS/FG for the road that I actually like riding. I have my cdale capo but I just don't like it.

May he live to be 140 and see his grandchildren's grandchildren.

Thanks, man. I've already outlived my mother by 16 years and my father by 19 years, and I think my cycling has a lot to do with it. I'm less concerned about longevity, and more about quality of life.

Actually, it's 76.4 years for men and 81.2 years for women.

I learned that the double-ended freewheel tool that ACS sells for a whopping $20 works on dang near every SS freewheel; ACS, Shimano, White Industries.

Yeah, for sure. Still need Scrod to confirm availability in my size. I plan a build similar to those photos on the Wraith website, all murdered out black with Heavy Pedal Tempo deep V carbon wheels and a Sugino SG75 DD crankset. It will be a long distance performance road bike.

Good to see you treat yourself for such a big milestone.

TMonk 05-09-16 04:33 PM

Took a day off work to do some chores and put in a big one: 85 mi, 3.5k elevation, with a 4:45 rolling time which was good for 17.8 mph.

Up next: cleaning my kitchen, than the bathroom. I might try to squeeze a haircut in as well.

SpeshulEd 05-10-16 02:42 PM

Been awhile, anything exciting happen?

I bought another bike and have been spending the vast majority of my time doing home renovations. Fun...err, not.

seau grateau 05-10-16 04:19 PM

Today I had to get my car towed to a service station.

Unkle Rico 05-10-16 07:03 PM

That blows. What happened?

seau grateau 05-10-16 07:53 PM

Something with the ignition. It had been acting weird for a while and finally got to the point where it just wouldn't start.

GENESTARWIND 05-10-16 07:53 PM

Probably takes better care of his bikes over his car

seau grateau 05-10-16 08:01 PM

True. I like them a lot more.

Today on my way home, a dummy in a Porsche Boxster cut in front of me in order to speed through an intersection before the light turned red but got stuck because of people turning. When I rode up next to him, I smiled and said, "Nice Miata!"

TMonk 05-10-16 08:34 PM

might just be time for a new battery.

That is brilliant. You should use this in a comedy act. Maybe make a movie: Dave Scrod Does Comedy! You could be making some of that sweet sweet comedian money : P
