I was kinda sandbagging the C's category because it was just a bunch of kids and like 2 other riders that were decently fast. Won everything, but except for like 1 sprint, it was mostly a solo effort.

You definitely should've moved up to B's man! You were sooo much faster than everyone else in C. Super fun day, hope to make a bunch of WNRs this season.

Today I received a pair of spd pedals I had purchased from warehousedeals. They were both left pedals.

My cross bike has white on it too so it had to be white. All my road ish bikes are black so they get a black fender.

You know the riding's good when there's cycling vanity plates for bike transport vehicles.

Today I rode 30miles through Denver -- such a purty city :thumb:

PNW riding means riding in the rain for 6 months a year, you cali boys seem to hate the rain.

Where is it only 6 months?

LesterOfPuppets 02-21-16 01:14 PM

6 months of actually riding in the rain, approx 300 days riding on wet roads, though :)

Huffandstuff 02-21-16 01:21 PM

I only call it riding in the rain when it's sub 50, anytime after that it's warm enough that it's not uncomfortable.

Kindaslow 02-21-16 01:28 PM

A new co-worker that I was going on a ride with about a year ago sent me a text that morning, something along the lines of bummer it is raining, maybe next time. It took us several messages before we understood each other, given where he came from NOBODY rode in the rain and here EVERYONE rides in the rain. He learned very quickly that morning that MTBing in the rain pretty much requires glasses.....

What is this rain you speak of?

A couple more years of drought and nobody in LA will remember the stuff...

This year, for sure! Last year, someone forgot to turn the water on.

I like the rain, and think California could use a little more of it, but can't comment on what it would be like if it rained as much as it did out there. I think I'd be pretty indifferent though.

AndjaVXC 02-21-16 02:55 PM

Maybe I haven't done it enough yet, but I'm just not a fan of riding in the rain, at least not when it's cold. Finishing a ride in it, sure. Going out in it, just not my thing.
