+1 the stuff works really well.
I tried it once out of curiosity and that was a bad idea. I had no idea how sticky and thick it is. Pretty much only useful for people that live in a rain storm.

I use dumonde tech lite on my geared bikes and finish line green on my SS/FG bikes.
The first smells like death and the other smells like a pleasant pine forest.

Today I realized that I really dont like SPD-SL's on my FG bike. I need to get just regular ones!

I realized that the other day, too... and ordered Odyssey pedals and hold fast straps.

SPD-SLs seem like they could be a bit tricky to clip into, can't say I ever tried tho. They're waited on the bottom, so at least theres that.

Double sided SPD on FG isn't a bad choice tho, getting in and out is super easy.

against better judgement, rode from asbury park to the end of sandy hook and back in the pouring rain.

SPD SL are easy to clip it once you have the muscle memory, just difficult to do at any higher cadence. 2 boltd are the way to go for daily riders or if any walking is involved though.

Finally finished the 1x conversion on the Space Horse. Wolftooth 38t ring on a Rival crank. Kept the 11-32 10-speed XT cassette. Removed the left hand shifter from the Gevenalle/Retroshift CX setup. Installed RaceFace flat pedals and Bruce Gordon Rock n' Roads.

Nice. I've been wanting to get a new pedal/cage setup for a while now, my old stuff was crap and I had an extra pair of the spd-sl's lying around so I threw them on.. Havent taken them off for about 6 months now but it is kinda getting annoying dealing with them at work/walking etc

Cool set-up!

Today I made it up a hill that I have never before topped without a rest or walking the bike. It's only about a mile and an eighth, but the first eighth is a frickin vertical wall and sucks it out of you before you even get started. It aint much, but I feel like I beat it, finally.

The return speeds were delicious!

The day before yesterday I BBQd pork filet medallions. They were freakishly good, like filet mignon good. $1.98 per lb. I don't understand, and I don't need to. Yesterday I cubed the leftovers and made chile verde and served it over RICE! Today I shoved those leftovers into a tortilla and had a chile verde and RICE burrito for lunch.

Tonight is breaded pan fried calamari steaks with slivered almonds.

So, 2 days from now and you will be eating burritos with almonds?

Probably tacos with Almonds and SQUID!

Today I repacked the front hub on my FG. Should have done it sooner, after all the rain it's seen this spring.

Today (Sunday) I am going to ride fixed to the local hospice fundraiser hike/bike and ride a 30 mile route. Lost my Mom back in 2008 and the hospice in Florida where she lived took really good care of her. This will be in her honor and memory. Supposed to be really cold, like 30's in the few hours from now that I will be getting up and on the road. This is my third year in a row riding, and I believe that it is only the third year that they have added the ride. Been on a fixed gear for all three. All said and done it should be close to a 50 mile day for me.

I never got over her being gone, just got used to it.
