Thanks! I'm currently riding the road rash track, but may upgrade to splinters in the coming year.

Must be nice to have options like that. Hate you guys.

Today I was looking forward to getting up really early Wednesday morning to buy a Blacksheep jersey.

Today I found out that they don't sell the limited edition jerseys alone but that you have to buy a whole kit. I don't want the shorts.

Today I received an email from Blacksheep reminding me about the new release but it had all kinds of cursing and sarcastic condescension in it, as if that is going to make normal people want to buy their products. I realize that they sell out and really don't need to cater to the majority of people but still. It's just infantile. If the guy at the pizza place talked to me that way I'd go somewhere else.

So yeah, I was planning on spending some money but have decided to donate $100 to a hospice run by the Dominican Sisters instead.

I think you're being a bit hard them. I also have a vastly different definition of profanity, haha.

Look at it this way. If you walked into a shop and they had a frameset that you liked, in a color you liked, that fit, and had a $130.00 sticker on it, how would you feel?

For sure, but I have had much better deals in the past on bikes the same size with better tubing. The size isn't hard to come by, I just liked the color. I dont feel like I'm missing out.

Today I got a 1964 silver quarter in change from the convenience store.

Apparently that is the last year they were made and it is 90% silver. Only worth about $3.50 but it is cool to look at.

I got one two weeks ago. Only noticed it as I dumped a bunch of quarters into my bowl for laundry money. Made a different sound. Dug it out and saw that it was a 64. Currently sitting on my dresser now so I don't accidentally use it.

Today I did 42 miles. Almost ate **** once when I hit a patch of dirt and lost control of my front end in the middle of a turn, but quickly righted the ship for a good Fonzie moment. Yelling obscenities seemed to help.

Second day in a row my rear drum brake has frozen, sometimes after its been engaged.

Interesting.

Maybe you need some aluminium. This one's probably stolen, though.

Oakley Flak 2.0 XL Green Fade Sunglasses | Chain Reaction Cycles

I bought a pair of these, thanks for the suggestion. The prizm lens really is great, noticeable quality of life improvement while on the bike.

Trouble is, they broke on my at the nose bridge after only a few rides. I've done this to a few pairs of nice shades, a real shame. I don't know if it's my fat head or what.

Hopefully Chain Reaction Cycles has good customer service and doesn't give me too much trouble. I'll be finding out tomorrow... Wish me luck!

Thanks. I'm going to go through CRC first and see what happens.

I'm going to save you guys the time, special ed's air tool blast tubeless bead setter sucks.
Skip it and get a compressor instead.

Cheaper too!

3 Gallon Air Compressor - 1/3 HP, 100 PSI, Oilless

seau grateau 12-21-16 05:58 PM

Today I rode in the rain. Don't get to do that very often in LA, and I was starting to forget what it's like. Turns out it still sucks.

Today I have entered the final days of having the steamroller. The new project is replacing it.

Today I replaced my skinny 25's with slightly fatter 30's.
Looking forward to testing them out.

Nope, my fixed gear days may be on hold for a long while. This will be a singlespeed(for awhile) with disc brakes.

Today I put the fenders back on the CX bike for commuting duties. Had a lot of snow here but it is all melting with these warmer temps. Not mad.

Same with Bontrager. I got one and its not great.

Muffin Man 12-21-16 09:28 PM

Two pinch flats on my ride today. got some #roadbikesoffroad action in, and I guess 90/95 psi isn't enough for my fat ass at 69 kilos taking terrible lines.

Pinched the front going downhill and the rear going uphill.
