I don't spend 11 hours a week shaving my legs to not show off the results.

Sounds legit.

Today I got caught in the rain on a mountain with a lot of lightning. Not too fun and 8 miles from home. cold. .

The balance my bank shows includes any pending but not yet cleared transactions. (minus checks obvs, which screwed me up a couple weeks ago when someone cashed a check from april, ugh).

the first time i had a scenario like this i stopped bothering and keeping track in a budgeting app, my bank only came out with a phone app last month (which gives you a clue about what im dealing with here)

like i wish all money dealings were instant and realtime like cash, but i hate carrying cash around cuz i can spend it so easy and it takes up too much room

Today I realized the Catlike Whisper Plus I bought on Amazon shipped ... from Canada... snail mail. DOH!!!

Scrodzilla 07-25-13 05:07 PM

**** banks. Angie and I just keep huge boxes of money stashed randomly around our house.

cc700 07-25-13 05:49 PM

andwhar do you life adomicile?

Dabbling Runner 07-25-13 06:43 PM

Rode 13 miles in the heat two days ago and the pneumonia flared up on me. Felt like hell last night.

Today I saw this craigslist ad...

http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/bik/3955786230.html

That's going to help sell your bike. Also got a bike trailer for the twins. 3 more months and they'll be ready to ride. And I made refrigerator pickles with cukes from the garden. Garlic!

If you're good at budgeting, a credit card with some kind of rewards system is the way to go. Just gotta make the payment at the end of the month.

I look forward to the day that everything is automated and the only thing I need to carry is my phone.

Dannihilator 07-25-13 08:47 PM

Today I keep hammering out road miles.

sheepdog84 07-25-13 08:56 PM

found out the hospital i work for isn't being bought by another one-

which means i get to keep my job longer than i anticipated.

put 40 some miles in and roasted my arms

hit up Chipotle for a burrito too.

good day.

My grandparents, who lived thru the depression, kept a little emergency money in their freezer, because hey, you never know. When my Pap moved into an assisted-care apartment type "nursing home" and sold his house, they had to thaw stuff to find the cash.

I don't spend 11 hours a week killing myself on my bike not show off the results.

Also: tradition, easy application of your favorite tincture (sunscreen, lotion, embrocation(!), etc), after-crash care, to name some of the less important reasons.

edit: Oh! I almost forgot. If you've never felt the amazingness of freshly shorn gams + bedsheets/jeans, you're really not living life to its fullest.

Had literally no idea that shaving legs was this big thing with bike riders.
Totally get the sunscreen/lotion/bedsheet thing - but that you look like a total novice by showing up at the track with hairy legs? Blew my mind.

Just seem too much of a hassle for me personally.

My parents used to keep the extra cash in the freezer too. I always found it amusing as a child.

Same, except mid-work snack. Nectarines are the jam.

Today I bought tickets to see Built to Spill!

Also next week is my weekend of Lolla aftershows. F- the festival itself, but Queens of the Stone Age 8/1, The Foals 8/2, and Matt & Kim 8/3 makes kaz a happy girl. (And then the Tiny Fix Street Hustle race is Sunday. I might die from exhaustion.)

seau grateau 07-26-13 11:33 AM

Today my sweet fixie parts came in the mail, but I don't have enough time to install everything before work. #firstworldproblems

Mumonkan 07-26-13 11:59 AM
