I'm fairly certain I shave more often than my gf. At the very least, we're 1:1. The difference is her hair is very thin, light, and soft. Mine is like guitar wire poking out of my skin.

Gotta start somewhere, I guess. EDIT: should I just tell him to shave his legs? I could only muster so much hypebeasting and idiocy on my feed. Removed swiftly. |

Today I did my second individual road time trial on the kilo tt, 8.3mi course 24min 14.4sec with a 20.4mph avs. I went from a 42/17 to 48/17 and beat my old time by more than 2min, need to learn how to really spin this gear to be more competitive.

I have no clue if that is fast at all, but big improvement, congrats. Sounds like it was fun.

They may be posting the largest payment first in order to maximize the number of overdraft occurrences:

I actually had a Chase employee tell me they run the big ones first as a service to the customer because the largest ones are usually more important, so you'd want to make sure those get paid first.
And that was the last straw for me when it comes to big banks. |

And that was the last straw for me when it comes to big banks. Overdraft protection in general is nothing more than a short term loan with an offensive interest rate. It's easy enough to opt out of though. |

The greatest benefit I experienced was it made applying sunscreen to my legs 1000% more enjoyable.
Would never do it myself, although I guess it would be a breeze for me. Barely any body hair nor beard on this one. If I were to try for a full beard, it would end up looking like the ginger equivalent of Paul Pierce. |

I might consider it if I ever wore shorts, but I don't even shave my face more than once a week unless I have a job interview or a wedding to go to.
|
I have considered doing it again now that I have road rash on both legs and bandaging is a lot less painful without hair.
|
Ridicules as it may sound, aside from various benefits, some of which have already been mentioned, in Europe shaving your legs is very much down to tradition. For instance, while needless to say shaving your legs says nothing about your riding abilities, showing up for a race or group ride with hairy legs, be that road or track, would most likely suggest that you're a complete novice. And basically very few riders feel comfortable tailing a novice by a couple of inches, let alone having him tailing you, at full speed.

There's merit to both sides of the argument. If I was ever to find myself in a situation like that, I'd MUCH rather the rent check cleared than the midnight Snickers run.

It's easy enough to opt out of though. my bank also has a habit of keeping several transactions in queue for days sometimes "just cause" and when i go to check my balance at an atm it shows me the balance before those ones in the queue have cleared, so i end up spending money i dont have i have opted out of the overdraft fee yet i continue to get it sometimes because of instances like that |

I don't spend 11 hours a week killing myself on my bike not show off the results. Also: tradition, easy application of your favorite tincture (sunscreen, lotion, embrocation(!), etc), after-crash care, to name some of the less important reasons. edit: Oh! I almost forgot. If you've never felt the amazingness of freshly shorn gams + bedsheets/jeans, you're really not living life to its fullest. |

Saw a homeless man on a caad10 today so I looked on CL in hopes there was an ad up so I could alert the person, no dice. would of offered him a hundred bucks for the bike but payday is tomorrow so I'm strapped. Drives me insane when I see that stuff.
