Today I took a nice little ride to my LBS and picked up some Stan's. I fixed some flats then said goodbye to an old friend (my Gunnar Rockhound). Now I only have one bike, wtf.

noice.

Today I was made an offer I couldn't refuse on a Specialized SRM powermeter. HNNGGG. Guess I'll be taking this training stuff a bit more seriously. My goal is to get cat 3 early next season.

Today I was convinced by the guy building my crossmuter frame to go for 26" wheels. I'd been on the fence for a while and recently insisted on 700c so i could impulse buy wheelsets on CL , but then remembered this pic that i posted in geared bikes thread a while back:

I need something like this in my life.

Over-engineering at its finest. Why not fix it when it isn't broke?

This is one case where the nds photo is more informative. I thought the stays had just been photoshopped out.

Mumonkan 07-30-13 03:17 PM

cali_axela 07-30-13 04:12 PM

Mumonkan 07-30-13 04:23 PM

Today I went to donate blood, and they wouldn't take it. Why, you ask? My BP was 140/110. They were afraid of the needle shooting back out at them like an errant lawn dart.

One short-notice trip to the doctor later, and I'm on BP meds and have been ordered to make time for myself so I don't stroke out.

good luck with that. I on the contrary have low BP. Do you consume a lot of sodium? (unfortunately everything these days, especially heavily processed items contain lots of salt).

ive come to kind of hate riding in the city, i can never just sit back and enjoy myself even on the greenway, instead of dodging cars youre dodging idiots on citibikes and people walking dogs

kool stop pads all the way, dual compound

zane13 07-31-13 06:55 AM

Today I logged my last ride of the month and finished it with 1004 km. Personal best for me. I had my eye on that 1000 km badge on this months Strava challenge. Goofy as they are it does help motivate me to push harder each ride.
