What exactly happened to your IGH?

i didnt do anything in particular to cause anything to fail i just rode it ~1500 miles. was on a recovery ride and on the final hill up to my neighborhood the low gears finally just died on me

to be honest i havent opened it up to see whats actually happening inside, but essentially 2 out of 3 gears no longer exist, they simply "freewheel"

i emailed sturmey archer about it but i havent gotten a response yet

ive been wanting a roadbike for a while now and this is a decent excuse to begin the transition to freewheels and real gears

Today I got back on here in what seems like the first time in a week. I have recently sold off the 1988 Cannondale Team Crest (by far the hardest to let go of), the 1987 Cannondale Black Lightning, A 1988 Cannondale SR500 Frame, and my trek earl. I have the money for my race bike so next on the chopping block is the 2012 Specialized Crux. Anyone looking for a 54cm it weighs in at 17.4 lbs ?
