I bought a Surly Karate Monkey last week to keep my other mountain bike company. Photos to come once I get done tweaking it.

Yesterday Scrod ordered my Heavy Pedal Tempo carbon wheelset and today he ordered my Wraith track frameset. Both should get to me before my 70th birthday. Still need to buy other parts like the crankset, but will wait a couple of weeks so they are on my credit card's next billing cycle.

It's certainly going to end up being one of the raddest bikes I've ever seen.

Yes, immediately cozy. Got mine used, too, for $50. I should not have waited this long.

Just got one of the little Knog Skull Blinders for the front today. 20 lumens, and I can't believe how bright this thing is.
Also LOVE that I can just plug it into the USB port on anything to charge it.

It looks cool but 20 lumens isn't that bright so be careful riding at night if that is your only light. Those tiny accessory lights are always hard to see and I frequently don't see fellow cyclists very well that use them. They might look bright to the naked eye when shined in the eye but at night with all the other lights out there it is dim.

Normally, I'd agree. But it doesn't have a focusing lens like most LED lights do, so the dispersal pattern of the light is VERY wide and very bright. Plus, I keep it on the strobe-mode to prolong the battery life, and it's even more noticeable that way.

Oy vey strobing front lights give me headaches and I can imagine what they do to motorists. I always tell customers to keep it solid in the front and flash/strobe/blink...in the rear. White light is more damaging to your eyes than red light.

I am curious to check out the light though because I love playing with stuff like that.

I honestly probably would keep it on solid, but being USB-rechargeable and fairly small, the runtime is only about 2 hours on solid, "Eco-Strobe" is closer to 7.

And it's not a typical rave-strobe, it's almost a dimming effect as it strobes.
