Birthday money + REI = points. Been really happy with the fit and quality of Shimano shoes so these should be no different. I have odd shaped feet and this style of shoe really seems to fit me the best.

I don't have the new Cannondale yet, the frame doesn't ship until November, so I haven't ridden the eTap other than the test bike at the shop.
I really liked it. Everyone complains about the front shifting, but I really only change my front when I'm climbing, so I'm not that worried.
That said, the Mr. Pink came with SRAM Rival, and I give it a "meh" review. I don't mind it at all, but if I shift up the cassette in the back and then decide to shift back down right away, the front drops to the small ring. I'm not sure if it's not setup correctly, or if this is just a SRAM thing, but it's super annoying. I usually always shift to an easier gear at red lights, but then if the light turns green, I'll shift back and go to hammer, but my chain drops and all I do is spin. At first I thought it was just a misshift but now, I can replicate it every time. I need to do some googling and see if there's a fix.

I got a Fizik antares 00 saddle for super cheap, some white fizik tape to match, and some white s works shoes.
Also got a free pair of Bontrager RXL mtb shoes, so I bought a Trek Boone 7 so I could use those shoes.
My wallet is considerably lighter now.

I'm going to have to mess with the derailleurs and see if I can make it better.

Its mostly gonna stay stock except for the cockpit so it's not going to be in the same level as the evo, but it'll definitely be a sweet bike. I don't know how good I am at cx or how much I'm gonna like it, so I'm gonna keep it relatively low key for now.

Probably not news to you but Shimano 9100 is supposed to have linear shifting as something the rider can enable.
You shift up to a higher gear or down to a lower gear and it figures out whether to shift the front, rear or both.
Pretty sure it hasn't been released yet but it is something I'm interested in.

Shimano has released syncro shifting for the mtb di2 group for a while now, and I think it got some mixed reviews. It would sometimes shift the front at inopportune times, and kinda screw with the flow of the ride because front shifting usually takes a little longer than rear.
Also, with shimano's whacked out releases, we're prob not going to see 9170 readily available until like March or so

iirc all the electronics can be programmed to shift in a linear fashion, but ive never cared to use one so i have no real world experience

The thing that I like most about the eTap is the ability to swap batteries on the road. I suck at charging things and my di2 would always die out on a ride, at least now I can just take the battery from the front and use it in the rear.

When you get etap, remember to charge at least one of your batteries pretty often. They're much smaller than the di2 battery and don't last as long as di2. We charge our demo unit's RD battery like once every two weeks, so it's easy to get behind on that and be stuck without a front derailleur.

If you have 6770 derailleurs, you can't make it 11s without doing something that wasn't intended for it to do, but if you get some 6870 derailleurs, you can reuse your shifters, battery, and cables.

That's what it was about ultegra di2, I knew it was something, the hassle of swapping stuff for one extra gear just didn't seem worth it to me.

Yeah we usually suggest that as an upgrade if someone crashes and wrecks a rd or something. Relatively easy swap to 11

Castelli stuff is nice. I found two of their jerseys at a Goodwill store a while back for eight bucks each. One of them doesn't fit me, so coincidentally, if anyone wants a size M Castelli jersey brand new with tags still on, hmu.

I noticed yesterday one of my pedals on my daily rider wasn't clipping... it broke. I use the Wellgo WPD-823 MTB CR-MO Clipless Pedal. $25 via Amazon. New pedals should arrive tomorrow.
I road another of my bikes today. I also have other pedals I could have put on. But I really like these Wellgo pedals.
