ok, so who wants to split shipping to san francisco with me?

Is anyone still interested in splitting the shipping for two frames, off eframebank. Any where in the US is fine, I can pay to have the frame shipped to Chicago from there.

I don't think they're accepting foreign orders for the time being.

I recieved an email from them today, explaining how to order. But no word on shipping to the US. I am also contacting a friend in Japan, about shipping them, if eframe bank is not exporting right now.

Wow. There's a few frames there for around 17,000 yen ($140) that I love. THANK you so much for providing that translation link. Someone needs to sticky this! I cant wait for my student loan to come in! Even with $160 shipping, $310 is a good deal.

ordering from e-framebank is really simple... i scored a nice vivalo from them a few months ago. email them, get an international money order, send it, you get a frame.

in fact, they recently found another shipping company and were charging $120 as of a few weeks ago to ship to the US. but i just got in touch with them the other day and he said that hes done with international orders for the time being after being frustrated with non paying people from over seas, so... no used frames from japan for awhile.

That sucks>.

eFRAMEBANK is selling to the US again. I know this because I recieved an email from them stating these facts. The shipping for one frame is now $120. As for frame price calculate 1.00USD=100JPY exchange and they only except US postal money orders, available at most post offices. Their website should cover registration and the rest of the details.

How can you tell if these frames have that freaky Keirin rear spacing or not? I wouldn't want anything that is not 120mm...

Under list, you look at the stats - if it says 112 - that's the funky spacing. If it's 122, that's regular spacing.

If you want to translate a particular frame do this:
1) Go to babelfish.altavista.com

i'm wondering if you get blasted on customs... something that you guys should maybe ask about if you're really considering ordering a frame from Japan. I had a digital camera sent to me once when I was in La Paz, and I got killed with import taxes. Are the frames used? This cuts down on customs charges pretty significantly. Just a heads up. Something to look into, I think. Maybe we have some sort of free and easy deal with Japan that I don't know about i/r/t trade...

The frames are used - lightly I believe and only on the track.

I'm trying to figure out what the difference would be or if there was one between figuring out if the package was a sold item or one from a relative or friend abroad? Or do they get charged customs anyway?

abstnr, I am in Chicago, but I do not know for how long. Anyways if I was to order with you, I may have to give you money to ship it to LA. But I am very interested. Maybe we should find out what the shipping is goin to be and talk more.

What's wrong with using tugs? That's why the spacing is different.

I think he means the 110 rear spacing - of which hubs are almost impossible to find - though Reload has Dura Ace rears in 110, though now you have to go build a new wheel.
