Hampton via Richmond, first post. There is a mountain bike just outside my APT that has been locked up for almost a year without moving. Krypnonite U-lock. I've heard the rumors that a ball point pen can crack a u-lock can anyone help me out? I would love to have a mountain bike to fix up. Thanks.
P.S. - I am not trying to "steal" a bike. This bike has not moved in over a year so I figure it has been abandoned. I put a note on the bike indicating that I would like to have it if no owner stepped forward and no owner stepped forward.

We're off to Hampton Roads tomorrow. We'll pull in sometime Wednesday afternoon. I'm bringing my bike and will look to get in some miles from the Denbigh area. Might do the Colonial Parkway to Williamsburg then down toward Ft Eustis area via Carters Grove road.
I lived in the area for pretty close to 11 years, so I know the riding routes very well. Hell I bought 5-6 bikes from Contes down on Warwick; they used to give me a big discount on everything I purchased there.
We've been out of the area for the past 7 years now. It should be interesting to ride there in the next week.

Still the same here except 64 through Newport News and Hampton is finally done again.

We stopped by the Cookie Ladie's (June Curry) house on the way in. She really does live on the middle of a steep hill!!!! We will eventually ride to her home on our way across the U.S. on the TransAm trail...maybe beginning in May next year.

Work in Winchester. Live close to Charles Town W.V. I think West Virginia forgot about bikes when they were putting in roads. I have yet to find a shoulder any wider than 3-4 inches..Virginia is a little better. I do alot of riding around Sharpsburg Md.. Anybody ever out that way ? I guess I'm a true Tri-State rider...
