We should be prepared for the possibility of needing lights, right? I just transfered my lights on my commuter to my Roubaix, and I found that it's so difficult to get everything set up right that if there's a chance we need lights, I intend to just ride with lights installed (sans battery pack for the front) the entire way since otherwise, I'd take way too much time installing lights if we need them.
I don't mind carrying lights all day long since without the battery pack, it's not all that heavy. But if needing lights is completely out of the question, then I might as well shed a bit of weight.

I know of people that have been ticketed for ignoring the road closed signs. Today, I was riding up there and got to the gate at the same time as a Forest Service truck. One guy got out to open the gate and as I waiting for the truck to go through, the driver waved me through. This was around noon (next time your kid has a sub, their teacher may have been out doing a 4 1/2 hour ride), and there was a road construction crew about halfway up. They waved me through as well. I guess it really depends on who you run into. I think they have been concentrating on the lugers lately.

Not to be picky. Ellos no van, is correct. Va is a singular verb and ellos is a plural subject. Van is the plural verb. You did get your point across.
. I never was good with the gramar part of spanglish. I know enough to get by in a business where I'm 1 of about 4 english speaking people out of 30.

Not to be even more picky, but you could have just said: "No van" . The 'van' implies 'they' regardless of gender...however, if you wanted to be really really picky and 'they' were all ladies, you'd say 'Ellas' to be specific. 'Van' already means 'They go' (ergo, No Van means They don't go.)
Even then, if you meant "They aren't going", the correct phrase would be "No estan yendo."
/I may be wrong. Doesn't really matter...I want pie...

Yep, every Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, it's MY job to bring the pie...and it MUST be Julian Apple Pie. None of that Marie Callendar's slop.
However, and I may be in the vast minority here, years ago I put a slice of cheddar cheese on my warmed up pie, and prefer it that way still. Where did that custom develop? (I've seen it before, so I know I'm no pie mutant)

I want pie. I've been thinking about pie for two months now. Pie, pie, pie. All day long thinking about pie. Oh, right, and a litttle bike ride to and from the pie shop. Yum, pie.
PIE!!!
