I think Tiff is an alien in disguise. I'm thinking I need those new Specialized shoes.

You call that a disguise? I think you need em too.:p

Happytime 05-30-07 10:07 AM

Alien!

roadfix 05-30-07 10:14 AM

abduction!

Mo'Phat 05-30-07 10:17 AM

Where can I get me some aliens to convince me I need some Zipp 404's?

I WANT resistance to be futile...as it is, I can convince myself to keep resisting.

I can hold myself off for a while, but I eventually give in.

Mo'Phat 05-30-07 10:29 AM

so...you're an alien, too?

I knew it.

A pair of Zipp 404's will improve your performance slightly more than an anal probe. There, is that enough encouragement?

Chucklehead 05-30-07 10:54 AM

just make sure you get tubulars or the advantage on climbs will be nonexistent compared to any other lightweight clincher.

Mo'Phat 05-30-07 11:02 AM

psst: I don't deserve what I ride right now...I don't think I'll ever be able to justify Zipp 404's...no matter what the aliens say.

/off to google 'anal probe'.

Chucklehead 05-30-07 11:12 AM

anal probe:

you deserve it.

Mo'Phat 05-30-07 11:32 AM

Pssh...That was last year's model. I've upgraded:

As I've noted many times recently, a lighter and/or more aero bike is of greater benefit (as measured in absolute time saved) for a slower rider than it is for a faster rider. Slow down some, and you then deserve the very best. :p

The side-loading cages came in from Nytro yesterday...

Here's what 24oz. water bottles look like on a 44cm frame:

:roflmao: It looks like a 2 liter bottle. But that frame looks hot in any size.

jschen 05-31-07 08:57 AM

Hmm... so does that mean you have to learn to use both hands for grabbing your bottles? Right hand for the seattube bottle, left hand for the downtube bottle?

either that or you learn to push the bottle through the other side and then back through the frame.... I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way on mine

Mo'Phat 05-31-07 09:03 AM

You would have thought the brain trust that came up with the side-loaders would have made seattube and downtube specific cages.

No need... they just need to make mirror image ones so that a rider can decide for himself/herself which way they should point.

Mo'Phat 05-31-07 09:07 AM

You should be on that brain trust.
