I need some new tires for my road bike any suggestions, I am only riding for fitness. My Michelin Dynamics failed at about 300 miles with a tear in the sidewall.

+1 Conti Gatorskins

I bought the NR MiNewt X2 single beam and like it. What are you doing for the back light?

A couple of us ride Wednesday nights in the North Burbank hills. Now that you have lights come and join us. For that matter come join us on any ride.

Got fitted on and picked up my new team frame today :D I don't know when I'll get to ride it, with the current air quality. It's a much more aggressive fit than my other bikes, but that was the whole idea.

My photography leaves something to be desired, luckily I can ride it better than I can shoot it.
Frame: Felt FC
Drivetrain/Controls: Dura Ace 10 spd
Seat Post: Thomson Masterpiece (wouldn't have it any other way)
Stem: Ritchey WCS Carbon (Actually asked for and wanted the Alloy, but ended up with CF)
Bars: Ritchey WCS Anatomic Alloy
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR
Bar Wrap: Fizik
Wheels: Dura Ace 7800's, had them laying around for about 3 years now and never used them.

Wow. Wow!

I love the black & white color scheme. The bike's not half bad, either!

Sheepish confession time. I bought a pair "Black Ops" carbon bottle cages for the new frame. I am not a weight weenie, so the 18 grams had nothing to do with purchase. No really. And nothing to do with bling or aesthetics. No really. How can you resist a name like Black Ops?!? Available on e-bay for under $40/pair.

If you do, just be sure to wave as you fly past me.

Thanks, IIRC you have a pretty slick ride as well :). Didn't you just get a Soloist or R3?

Nice! Is it going to bump anything out of your stable?

And does that mean this will be your new team TT bike? :D

My old Roubaix Pro frame set is getting the boot, hopefully I can fetch a few bucks for it.
I'm already worried that a Felt DA or B2 Pro will be a future purchase, along with a F1X (cross). My project this weekend is to organize the garage, so that my wife can get her car back in there :p

Forgot to mention, I got her one of these last week for her B-day. It was pretty funny, if we were in the Gucci or Coach store, I would've been hoping to get out with a keychain or the smallest item, when we were in SCC, I was encouraging her to look at the blingiest and most pricey bikes in the store, but she was content with the Sirrus.

One Fenix flashlight (L2D-Q5) w/3x bike mount (Jeff, you can have 1 if you like) and one Dinotte 200L-AA from the $99 sale.

Former is backordered; latter just got shipped. By the time I get these, hopefully the dust will have settled in SD and I can ride to work! :D

jsigone 10-26-07 11:59 AM

thanks dave but I'm gonna get the 3 pack when I order since I'll be getting 2 of those lights, 350 lumens for 130 bucks!!!

jsigone 10-26-07 12:20 PM

hey OC, what size frame is that???

58cm w/110mm stem
I set it next to my Roubaix last night, I didn't meaure, but the bars have got to be at least 2" lower, while that saddle heights remain very close. My neck and shoulders are going to take a beating for a while.

jsigone 10-26-07 02:25 PM

your other bike was a 60-61 wasn't it?

I went from a 58 to a 55 on the bianchi so I can have that more aggressive fit and my back flat when on the drops rather then more streched out. I still can lower the bars another inch if needed, and 115 stem. So far, on my normal rides, I've gained about 1.5mph faster on the average speeds and thats with alot of time spent on the hoods.

Pic of the new ride in fading sunlight after bringing it home from B&L today:

Had them swap the Toupe with the new Tri Tip saddle. Since I stayed with the white saddle, that meant I HAD to go with white bar tape!

I think she will be named Goldie - quick, loud and funny!!

Holy smokes, nice bikes! Well Gina bought me a Pneumo helmet. She said I need a new one cause the pads in my others are dirty!:D...I like her way of thinking! All wives should ride!
