The drive-train on my Virata is nearly shot, with the cassette, chain, chainrings in serious need of replacement, the left shifter on it's last hurrah, and the right shifter nearing it's end as well. I've put a tonne of miles on it all over the past few years! Anyway, this prompted to action a long-standing desire to change out the drive train completely. I can still sell off the current Ultegra RD, FD, and Triple Crankset and BB which are, remarkably, still in great condition. Until all the parts for the upgrade are ready to be installed I'll be riding what's left of the gears over the next few weeks much like Selma and Louise holding hands about to drive off a cliff. The final send off! :D

That's all for now - but I think a few more things will be acquired within a few days.

Just bought these Fulcrum Racing 5 Rev wheels - I needed a new 'everday' set - I hope they're as good as I've read. Anyone use these?

I have some, they came on my bike. They seem to be fine for training. Not the fastest rolling wheel, and they seem kinda heavy. However they are still on my bike, and I have 2 sets of wheels that are much lighter, so they cant be all bad.;)

After experiencing (right) ankle pain with the new Specialized shoes, I went back to my (black) Sidi Ergo 2's, and they fit like a glove! :)
I wanted the white Ergo 2's, but did not like all the yellow in them. Enter the new 2008 Ergo 2's

You're already over the edge. Just buy the #*&&$ thing and be done with it.

Did that help?

Thanks Sean, they should be delivered today. I'm hoping they're better than my ALX295s which came stock on my Specialized Tarmac Expert. They're lighter anyway!
