sugoi rs flex bibs with the formula fx chamois. got them today and gave them the 22 mile test ride.

chucklehead was right, these bibs are sweet! the chamois is awesome...assos are great and still my favorite but for $100 less these sugoi's are money.

That's why they're called Sugoi! :D

sugoi means "great bibs and $100 cheaper than assos"? :D

Been looking at shorts/bibs lately. Thought I would like the Giordana Silverline shorts but tried them on at the shop and found them to fit poorly for me. LBS didn't have any bibs to try in the Silverline.

I heard the PI Ultrasensors are good but none in stock there. Got to try these on before buying.

I hear the Sugoi from time to time but not widely. Got any other details to post?

I've been using Perf Ultras (short and bibs) but getting saddle sores the past 6 months so time to switch 'em out. But don't want to spend a fortune.

Veloskin (3M car clear bra stuff but for bike).

Was scanning the net looking for some chainstay protector reviews, then ran across this for not much more $. I've only done the fork for now, since the rest seems more difficult (need to measure and create cutouts for cable guides). At the end, I think I'll just use the veloskin for the front of fork and chainstays. Too lazy for the full install (w/top tube, downtube and seat tube). :p

You said they were $100 less than Assos and those don't cost $235.

My old bike rack scratched my bike 2x and that was the end if it. So after some serious research, I ordered the Saris Bones RS3 and should have it later today. Brilliantly designed and should keep my bikes safe. I'll keep you posted.

Let's see, today I picked up the following:
Park PCS10 workstand
Shimano M520 pedals ( I don't like my CB smarties)
2 Conti Ultra Gators (25's) to replace my cross tires on my Element
A new Novara seat bag
a micro CO2 inflator for said seat bag
and some extra tubes for my skinnier tires.

I was looking hard at the SLX seat at performance but not sure I like it. My REI has a Fizik Rondine in the clearance bin I'm going to see how much it is.

our ebay retailer from england ($220 to our door) hasn't had any assos fi 13 s2 bibs lately.

jpconrad 03-26-08 07:18 AM

$199 here, there must be a new version coming out soon.

Today I bought

1 Campagnolo Record Hiddenset for my project bike which I anticipate building mid April.

2. I bought two roof rack bras after having to clean all the bugs off my bikes following the trip to Solvang earlier this month.

3. I bought a wheel bag to carry my front wheel during transport. It will protect the spokes and keep grease off of my other cargo while traveling.

Now if I could only figure out what size I am...size chart says L based on waist size, by XL based on height. I'm normally a L in most other brands, but don't want to end up with super-tight bib straps either.

And the fact that I can get my Desoto's for $100 less (after club discount) makes this purchase even tougher to justify (though I DID manage to justify spending $2K for a pair of Zipps, right?)
