Have you considered seeking therapy for your uncontrollable urge to spend money?

Now, where the hell are my shipments!

OC Roadie, we all knew this was an inevitability.

Last night, I bought more Gookinaid (sticking with lemonaid flavor), another pair of PI bibs, and some PI head gear to help keep me warm. Oh, and a cheapo bottle cage for my spare bike since it lacks a bottle cage (initially set up for a 3 mile commute, so no water needed).

You're right, but I thought I'd be able to hold off until spring, it seems like I always spend a bunch on bike stuff this time of year. I was seriously considering an R3 and still have a thing for the Soloist SL. I should have the new Roubaix ready for the Crystal Lake ride

Cool. And I guess this means around this time next year, we will hear about you buying the Soloist SL? After all, at this time last year, you bought the Cyfac and had a thing for the Roubaix S-Works.

Are you doing a new build, or moving over the parts from your other Roubaix?

I'm actually moving the parts from my Cyfac (all Dura Ace 10 speed, with Zero G brakes). I've got a brand new set of Dura Ace 7800 wheels, that have been sitting in a box for a couple of year. I'll probably rebuild the Cyfac with Ultegra stuff off of eBay. I still plan to use my old Roubaix quite a bit. I contemplated putting SRAM Force on the new frame, but decided not to spend the money for now.

Bikes: 2007 Leader 796R w/ 10sp DA and 2005 Jamis Dakar XLT FS MTB

Off to Performance to throw more money at my bike fitting problems (I ride the clown bike from the PIE thread)...120mm stem (currently have 110) and a setback seatpost. If THOSE don't work, I might just have to get this in a 54:

Any thoughts?

Bikes: one for everything

What size is you clown bike? Leader makes good bikes, I hear they are good and stiff. I was looking at their Aero roadie frame a while back.

I have a 120mm stem you can try, unused too.

I think the stem is in my car, so you can swing by my work and pick it up. I Work by the Esco Auto Park

It's not compulsive if it's planned, right? So just start planning on getting the Soloist SL next year at this time, and you can break the pattern of compulsive purchases while still getting your Soloist SL.

Ok......my orders are starting to trickle in. I just received a partial shipment of one order (USPS). This particular order is being shipped in 3 small shipments because one small item was out of stock but has been shipped out yesterday (FEDEX). Three other separate orders should start trickling in throughout this week. Free shipping on all these orders, of course....plus that $20 off each order on top of that. If these guys were smart, they would somehow consolidate these orders and ship them in one medium sized box and save themselves a ton of money in shipping costs.

EDIT: they all came in...

Jeff: It's a 53cm c-c...I'm 5'-9.5"...so I think it's just a bit on the small side for me. But, then again, I was able to do 100 miles on it. I'm in 'bike fit' pain mode right now: neck, wrist, and elbow pain. My cycling muscles feel peachy.

Is your stem for an oversized handlebar (31.8mm)? and do you know the rise angle?

That's the thing...I don't hate it. I do, in fact, love it. I love the paint, the shape, the styling, the weight, the whole shebang. Only problem is that after about 10 miles (no matter what I do in terms of adjustments to the saddle or stem flippage/raisage), I get this awful neck pain.

I call it a clown bike because it looks proportionally small to me. Maybe I'm wrong. I know there's plenty of pro riders who ride miniscule frames and compensate with a monster stem and a setback seatpost.
